Guest guest
I initially tested my son's heavy metals with a challenge test conducted by his DAN! doctor. This amounted to 200mg DMSA (Captomer). I do not want to repeat this dose for the next challenge test so I would like to get some advice on how to conduct the retest and when. We just completed Round 4 using DMSA only (first 3 rounds at 6.25 mg and this last one at 12.5 mg). I will be adding ALA in the next round and wanted to do the 2:1 ratio so I increased the DMSA alone before adding the ALA. I am not sure if that was necessary but wanted to step it up. I will not be increasing the dose of either after the ALA is added. I have and intend to chelate every weekend unless problems arise. My specific questions are: 1. At this pace/dose, how long should I wait before I retest. 2. What procedures should I follow when I retest? For example, should I retest during a round at this dose or off round, etc. As always, thank you all so much for your input and thoughts. It is very empowering to have access to resources that allow us to be able to take a very active role in your children's recovery and not feel quite so powerless.
