Is thatOk to use and at what dose? Or is it best to wait for a few months until his gut (blastocystis and yeast) is sorted a bit more before tackling this? >>>Sorry just found this mail - did anybody answer you already? If you Naturpath thinks you look at a hair test and that's the result they are also mistaken, No Mercury on a hair test probably means toxicity. Ask them if they understand the counting rules which do not look for toxicity on the hair test, the counting rules are looking for the damage mercury does, causing disordered mineral transport. Have them check out this link _http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/_ (http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/) and please don;t do a challenge test. You refer to 100mg as a low dose..........there are folks here removing mercury on 4mg doses, giving on the Cutler protocol so 100mg is a high dose not a low one. Do NOT give DMSA sporadically, on the whim of an uneducated naturopath. Challenge tests are NEITHER accurate, nor useful. They are, in fact, quite harmful. The ultimate " test " is to start chelation and observe symptoms. > Becky > > [ ] Re: DMSA Challenge > > Yeah..don't do this test. Guest guest
Comments interspersed. S S Re: DMSA Challenge Posted by: " Becky " becky@... no.name29 Sun Jan 31, 2010 4:07 pm (PST) I'm new here and just beginning to understand this whole issue. But in reading the website you listed, I see it referencing DMPS injections, rather than low dose DMSA oral dosages. Am I missing something? *Challenges are dangerous and do not provide useful info, regardless of route of chelator. Our naturopath is proposing a DMSA challenge because she says it is more accurate than the hair test, *Lead hides in the bones and brain and takes a long time to come out. A challenge is not at all accurate. because environmental metals can deposit on the hair. We haven't started the DMSA challenge yet because we our propping up his gut health. When we do start, we will do one day of 100 mg DMSA to check for reactions before doing a higher dosage for the challenge test. *This dose is only appropriate if the individual to be chelated weighs 200-800 lbs. Please do not use this high a dose and do not allow a challenge. I would suspect this doc is also suggesting some inappropriate dosing schedule....?
