Guest guest
Hi I took a toiletting workshop to teach my ASD son.The woman that ran the course has taught persons with autism as old as 60.First thing we had to do was lose the diapers/pull ups.She said it causes confusion for the child. We were told to use a mattress cover to take of accidents at night. You may want to wake him earlier and have him sit on the toilet.Loose stools may be yeast. > > My 8 year old grandson has the very same problem, he is very well toilet trained, but not so much for the big job,he will poop in the toilet at school and at home if its during the day, but always goes in his diaper in the early a.m.We need to put a diaper on at night, because he has accidents, but now he thinks the diaper is on to poop in the a.m.Any advice on what we can try? Also has loose stools. > Thanks so much. > Joyce >
