Guest guest
Hi Emerson This test meets counting rules for mercury toxicity, Blood sugar regulation maybe a problem of which a low GI diet might be helpful. A fast metabolism is suggested, digestive enzymes might help, but if considering this start low especially as is very young. I think Enzymedica does a kids broad-spectrum enzyme which might be worth starting with. The Thyroid might possibly be a problem with one of the markers out of range. The high copper may well be a problem and would suggest giving a fair amount of zinc along with bile increasing supps such as milk thistle, taurine and maybe glycine, molybdenum may also be helpful in reducing copper. If this helps then you may see some positives within a month or 2. As there is a very high likelihood of mercury toxicity chelation would also be highly recommended as per Andy Cutler's protocol and giving supporting supps for this, starting low on chelators at about 1/8mg per pound body weight. If possible getting Andy's HTI book which I believe is cheaper from his web-site noamalgam.com would also be highly recommended. Guest guest
I can't thank you enough for replying! I just need to know what a low GI diet is that you mentioned. She has been on the SCD for a few months now. Thanks again! > > > > I need help interpreting my daughter's hair test. Guest guest
A low Glycemic index diet is often used by diabetics as lower GI foods tend to release their sugars more gradually rather than the high spikes higher GI foods tend to give. http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes_food_diet/glycemic_index.php It might be worth giving a trial to see if it makes a difference. Although admittedly there are a myriad of diets and the SCD may cover much of this anyway. Chromium can also promote healthy blood sugar regulation.
