Guest guest
Hi, I would just chelate and worry about the strep later, or as symptoms may appear. I bet if most of us tested our kids, they would have strep issues too. My instinct says that most do, but this is because they are overridden by all kinds of crap because of the deranged minerals that toxic metals cause. Aluminum, mercury, and lead displace calcium, magnesium, and iron - good food for strep. Chelation is the best way to get the minerals back to normal so that the body can adequately deal with the pathogens on its own. That's my opinion. Guest guest
I have not dealt with PANDAS or chronic strep... but chelate regardless. Small doses, frequent dosing. Guest guest
my son is allergic to amoxicillen so every ear infection he ended up on Zithromax.....he got c-diff which is a result of anitbiotics. Not sure if it was directly related to zithromax or not. Â Good evening, I can't believe the timing. We did some blood work to check on viral titers, liver and kidney function and other immune system checks. At the same time, we included the ASO and the DNASE-B titers as part of our " normal " blood draw work. Basically, I wanted a baseline before starting chelation. My son's DNASE-B is 960 High while the ASO is 557 High. 1. Any recommendations to combat the strep? 2. Doctor prescribed Zithromax. Does anyone recommend this antibiotic route? If so, do I just supplement with probiotics and up our yeast protocol? 3. Any natural recommendations to combat strep? 4. Should I get a handle on this strep issue first prior to starting chelation? Always start one thing at a time, but you don't have to wait until the strep is " gone " before chelating. If the yeast overgrowth caused by the OLE/Zithromax is too difficult to control, wait until you have the yeast under control before you start chelating. Guest guest
Good morning, Dana and everyone, Thank you. Dana, Do you still recommend a 250mg dose of OLE to start to treat Strep? Also, how frequent to I administer OLE? Once, twice, etc per day? Thank you all, Jerry > > 1. Any recommendations to combat the strep? > > > OLE eliminated strep here. > > > > 2. Yes, except for very young child where I would recommend starting with 100mg. > Also, how frequent to I administer OLE? Once, twice, etc per day? Guest guest
might want to add in microbials targeting strep 30 minutes after....we did that and it went well. the lowest dose AC style seemed to do the trick as a biofilm breaker here....where as ALA alone did nothing to increase poop/slime excretion. lisa

Guest guest
Good morning, Dana, Thank you. Also, my son does not swallow capsules so we have to break open the capsules and mix in juice or applesauce. I opened the Olive Leaf Extract (has other items Oregano Oil, etc) and mixed in some juice for myself. WOW!!! That was potent. Does OLE only come in capsules? Any liquid forms of OLE? What can I do to mask the taste? Mix in a particular juice or mix in applesauce? Thank you again, Jerry > > Dana, > > Do you still recommend a 250mg dose of OLE to start to treat Strep? > > > Yes, except for very young child where I would recommend starting with 100mg. > > > > Also, how frequent to I administer OLE? Doctor prescribed Zithromax. Does anyone recommend this antibiotic route? If so, do I just supplement with probiotics and up our yeast protocol? We tried a couple rounds of Zithro (3 day course followed by two weekly doses), but the OCD and mild tics returned. > > 3. Any natural recommendations to combat strep? Our homeopath gave us a high-potency homeopathic strep which was helpful for awhile. Lumbrokinase enzymes help break up the strep biofilm but can exacerbate symptoms if you aren't giving something to kill the bacs after. I've used OLE a bit but I found Phyto-Biotic (a combo herbal) muscle-tested better for him - the berberine and oregon grape act on strep and the goldenseal is antifungal. Goldenseal cannot be given continuously though. > > 4. With this information at hand, I want to start my son's chelation this weekend. Should I get a handle on this strep issue first prior to starting chelation? I think chelation and managing the infections go hand-in-hand. Some speculate bacterial biofilm (and fungi and viruses) can bind or somehow tie-up metals. A DAN! doc told me that in her patients the urine toxic metal tests during chelation are higher when r/x antifungals or antivirals were given. I don't use DAN! protocol or r/x drugs but tend to give natural antiviral or strep treatments while chelating, thinking that maybe the chelator will be able to grab some of those metals. But since our chelator doses are lower, I have been conservative in dosing the treatments. > > Thank you in advance, > > > > Jerry > > Good luck, Jo
Guest guest
Hi Jerry, Not just want to suggest the nutramedix samento, great antimicrobial, start slow and see reactions. Muscle test for optimal dose if you can. I have used in my son (5yo, 44 pounds) at 10 drops 2x day max dose. Guest guest
YEs...whole foods carries it. I called the mfg and they said for children 1 drop per 4 lbs....I wanted to try it first prior to giving to my son. He is 40 lbs but I think I will start at 4 drops to see how he handles it.
