There were multiple lectures by expert virologists on the adverse affects of viruses on our immune system and how viruses are implicated in a vast array of disorders such as Type 1 Diabetes, Autoimmune Disorders, Guillan Barre Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and more. There was even discussion about adverse vaccine reactions due to live viruses, and the dilemma for vaccine researchers on how to make viral vaccines due to their frequent mutation. The drug companies were there discussing the challenges with viral resistance to some of our commonly used antivirals. I met with scientists who work for vaccine manufacturers, and they are under enormous pressure from the government agencies to develop effective vaccines to eradicate viral infections. Most concerning to them are those viruses which are implicated in pandemics and those which can be fatal such as Dengue Fever. I had the opportunity to speak to many influential people about my son's recovery and the viral aspects of the neuroimmune disorders. To my surprise, many of them knew more about this than I imagined and had researched it. Some even referred to it as " viral autism. " I was amazed at the many discussions around viruses and behavior issues in children, especially concerning Enterovirus and ADHD. I wanted to post this here because I find it very reassuring that world leading virologists are interested in this area and pursuing antiviral treatment options for our kids. Dr. has researched and treated viruses for 10+ years, and was a trailblazer in treating the viral components of the neuroimmune disorders when it was considered " alternative. " I am just thankful that the International Virology community is also recognizing this, even if it took this long. Best,
