What side effects is she having at these doses, both on round and after the

round stops?

The recommended starting dose is 1/8 mg/lb. For someone 34 lb that would be

4.25 mg.

15 mg for someone 34 lb is about 0.44 mg/lb - almost at the high end of 0.5

mg/lb.

If she is doing ok at 15 mg then I would continue with those doses for several

months before increasing. I wouldn't round up. If she is having difficult side

effects with these doses then lower the doses.

After several months at one dose, and when there are no longer side effects at

that dose, then it is ok to increase by 50%. From a 15 mg dose one would

increase to no more than 22.5. Once you get to a 22.5 dose or so then try 75/3

= 25 mg and if there are too many side effects at that dose try 75/4 = 18.75.

15mg is plenty. Is this the starting dose? If so, you should start lower and

work your way up. The dosing is 1/8-1/2mg per pound of body weight.

We're currently doing 15 mgs per dose. She just weighed in at 34 pounds. At her

Dr's appt a couple weeks ago.

Should I round up?

I currently take 75 mgs and divide it equally by 5 so each dose is 15 mgs.

Not sure how to get it to 17.

How do you handle the inbetween increments?

All -

We've been chelating since September. No side effects at all. Haven't noticed

any huge changes (good or bad). Started at 1/8 mg per pound back in Sept 2009.

She's been at 1/2 mg per pound since beginning of December.
