Guest guest
Good morning, all, I just received our results from the Yasko genetic tests. My son has issues with a number of genes in the methylation pathway. Basically, my son can not produce enough glutathione, has low BH4, high ammonia issues, and adrenal issues. Now with knowing this Yasko information and using Valtrex and Amantadine to address two viral issues, my question is can I still chelate in order to address my son's heavy metal issues. Or is this too much for my son's body? I think I should chelate and supplement where needed in order for the methylation pathway to begin producing glutathione. When we have reached the point of producing the " normal amount " of glutathione, this stage will be where my son's body and AC chelation are combining to remove heavy metals. Please let me know your thoughts and recommendation regarding beginning AC chelation even with the Yasko information. It is not like I have to address the issues highlighted by Yasko testing prior to beginning AC chelation. Right? Thank you in advance for your insight. Guest guest
Honestly, I would just start chelating with DMSA (which I believe is an antiviral anyway). A lot of our kids have viral issues/methylation problems and chelation addresses it all. Of course you can add additional antivirals as you go and see how they are tolerated. DMSA will also normalize glutathione and you can try supplementing the glutathione precurser as well if you are up to it (NAC). For high ammonia, you can give NH4 redox and baking soda/Betaine HCl with meals. For the adrenal issues, give adrenal cortex extract and try to find out if there are food intolerances. If there are food intolerances, this will keep the adrenals stressed. You want a diet he is not very reactive to while chelating/addressing viral and other issues. Eating foods he is intolerant to will greatly increase yeast. He should be on a diet very low in sweets while you are doing all this as well. Sorry for the big long paragraph, I wanted to respond but didn't have much time. Take care, Liz > > Good morning, all, > > I just received our results from the Yasko genetic tests.
