Guest guest
Hello, Starting chelation in a few days for my son. From postings and FAQ (thanks for those! I read Andy's book but cannot fully comprehend. Very helpful to read Andy's input on the posts). Dosage to start is 1/8-1 mg per pound if DMSA and ALA given together. What is the incremental increase? Can the dosage be increased at each 3 hour increment or by daily increment? What if we are unable to get my son to take the chelators in the middle of the night? Is it good enough to continue the 3 hour schedule when he is awake or should we go to the " replenishing " rest period? Our NP tells us it's important to give the DMSA on an empty stomach (2 hours after meal or 1/2 hour before meal) so the DMSA does not bind to any foods. She wants him on 1000 mg daily (he weighs 65 pounds). Is that too aggressive? She has also given us a lot of supplements to support his body. Thanks much!
