Guest guest
Hi. I would start with 1/3 of a cup and wait and see the baby's response. If negative symptoms then reduce. You can vary it and see what dosage is best. Everyone responds differently so the best thing to do is trial and error. Guest guest
The reason epsom salts may help is because it's just magnesium which helps many mercury toxic people. I think you need a real lot, probably around a full carton. Guest guest
When I gave my child epsom salt baths, it was usually twice a week. A lot of this is trial and error. Start with 1/3 (it is a conservative amount) and observe the child's response then you will have a much better sense of what to do. I would first determine the dose then the frequency. Also, the child's response might change after a few months so observation is the way to go. I do this with supplements too. Guest guest
We are talking about a 15 month old toddler. Most people use 1-2 cups. BUT, like it was said earlier, start low and work your way up. Get the water as warm as possible, and up to the child's hips. Try to get them to stay in the bath at least 15 minutes. Keep the water out of their eyes, it stings a bit. Try a bath yourself with a few cups and hot water. Guest guest
We don't have a tub - only a shower. so I do footbaths with my son. I use a ton of epsom (He's 8, 70+ lbs.). Even though he can't soak his entire body in it, epsom has made a tremendous difference. so much so that he asks for it. Minerals seem to make the biggest difference here.- more so than vites. -Tammy ________________________________ From: TJ Werth <tj_werth@...> Sent: Fri, August 27, 2010 12:50:09 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Q: Amount and time Epsom Salt for baby bath.? Guest guest
I'm a 200lb women and I use epsom salt baths every night. I just throw in a few handfuls and soak. I probably use a 4# bag every week or 10 days. I could use a whole bag each time but for cost effectiveness, I just use a few handfuls. I've never even tried higher amounts because this epsom salt bath effectively controls my insomnia and allows me to fall asleep. _/Rosegvr@..._ (mailto:/Rosegvr@...)
