Guest guest
My son has ammonia smelling breath. I've noticed it now for over a week. Any ideas on the cause?
Guest guest
Are you treating for bacteria right now? That will cause high ammonia. Also, parasites will cause high ammonia too. You can try Alfa Ketoglutaric acid from Kirkman's to treat it. You have to give it atleast 2 times a day for about 4 months though. > > My son has ammonia smelling breath. Guest guest
Thanks for the response. We are on a break from all bio-meds. We have been on Methyl-B12 shots for years and we recently stopped. Our DAN thought we had probably exhausted the efffectiveness of them and my son was telling us they weren't doing anything.  Do you think that could be related?  I am not treating for bacteria, and I have not done a parasite cleanse lately, so I probably should do that next then. Guest guest
A few years back my son had breath odor that smelled like ammonia or mothballs (camphor). I posted about it here. His pediatrician thought it was related to digestion, emanating from the stomach and esophagus. When it happened to my son again, he developed gut pain and X-rays at Urgent Care showed a backed-up colon. Even though his bowel movements had been misleadingly regular, apparently they hadn't been frequent enough to evaculate the bowel fully. Regular use of probiotics and increased fiber intake seem to have solved the problem (knock on wood). - Hokkanen Ammonia/Urine Smelling Breath Posted by: " afightforchance " afightforchance@... afightforchance Thu Aug 26, 2010 7:19 pm (PDT) My son has ammonia smelling breath. Guest guest
Bad breath and white tongue is bacteria and yeast overgrowth in small bowel It means the overgowth is so big it is spreading up to the mouth The way to conteract includes using oxypowder to clearout the bowels and at same time add lots of good bacteria and enzymes. This is to re-establish good bacteria You should find an improvement in diet also if you do this Best wishes From: afightforchance@...
