Guest guest
Is this true or only for a small percentage of people diagnosed? I heard it on another group I belong to.
Guest guest
Fragile X (FXS) is a known genetic cause of autism. According to the National Fragile X Foundation, for 2-6% of children with autism the cause is the FXS genetic mutation and approximately 33% of children with FXS have been dx'd with an ASD. See http://www.fragilex.org/html/autism_and_fragile_x_syndrome.htm IMHO any time an ASD is suspected genetic testing should be done for things like FXS. > Link Between Fragile X and autism?
