Guest guest
We used it on our twin 9 year olds for almost 7 months. After a bumpy start (aggression, anger, rashes etc...) it seemed we were getting a calming effect. I began to notice one of my son's speech patterns was changing- not for the better. began putting an exaggerated vowel sound at the end of words eg. " no " became " no-uh " It was really becoming a problem. After about 6 months we saw some aggression and frustrations increase so I decided to pull them off of the LDN to see if any thing changed due to that. Within 2 days my son's speech went back to his regular speech patterns. Very strange. I am not sure we really saw any great thing from LDN. There are a lot of competing medical views on how to use it. Dr. McCandless insists on staying at a very low dose while our DAN wanted us to gradually move up to a very high dose. We are no longer using it and do not plan to go back and revisit. I am not convinced or unconvinced. Like most protocols it is different for everyone.
