Guest guest
Everyone is different. (And should be treated accordingly, if that ain't Justness, I don't know what is) You should look into ABA (applied behavior analysis) in that respect. (Or continually try damn hard to communicate with your child, including with play and what is interesting for your child, for what you both need trying everything you can in that respect of understanding more for your selves, by as much? .. . ABA is to education what bio-med is to health, and you can't do one so much without doing the other.. . (They work together where they work at all? of both being based on the scientific-method/the evidence, of progress, where they are as much as they claim to be, and successful, of building success upon success (As if I don't know what that is by as much?) Be wary of imposters, of the story of man? .. . (First clue: the liars you should be most concerned with, to avoid? are really censors, of all you need, Thereof. Test for as much on who should be associating with for all that you would need beyond paying too much for It.. . Bring as much into such equation of communicating for the answers as far and wide as you can. Prayers is always a good start with that, that you should ever be not praying when you're actually communicating, would actually depend on what you believe in in that respect, that it really isn't as simple as that.. . On simplifying things for a greater understanding of more as if that doesn't help what deserve to be helped, (of what primarily helps? of putting everything in its proper place?) for as much, but I Feel It Is So I speak differently. At least that provides the answer?!. That anything else should matter Glavic > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. Guest guest
, We have been doing ABA since March 2010 for 20 hrs a week. My son with almost a year of ABA therapy has 0 receptive language and 0 expressive language. Heck i would be glad if he made a sound. He makes no sound. All babblling was gone by 15 months. NO SOUND AT ALL right now. For the last one year he has been getting 20hrs of ABA+ 2hrs of speech+ 2 hrs of Occupational every week. We work with him all day long as well continuously directing him. Nothing nada. We have been doing everything for him that is known for the last one year. No improvement. Now i am more concerned about his comorbidities: Excessive Drooling,Unusual gait, Cannot Run,Cannot Jump. My son doesnot have any behavior problem. Never had it. Anyone please help me. Guest guest
Don't rule out seeing medical specialists in that respect. Have you seen a pediatrican about it? (lately?) and if so, where are they directing you? If they can't give you better insight on a medical condition (and this seems serious in that regard) I would seriously wonder who can? Try another? and another? Maybe by going to the Mayo clinic or wherever, the Cleveland Clinic? They both have portals for plugging in info on the Internet, to where you should go with as much, as do other health related sites on the Internet where you would want to better understand what there is out there and what you might be getting yourself into in that respect. I would still continue to do the other things you're doing (of trying what works) and get another ABA service provider as a helpful one would have told you as much, (I figure) that they can't read behavior (of knowing what is normal and what progress they should be getting, my God, for just being normal!?.) to do with doing the analysis and only going with what works, and being honest about as much I did mention imposters. I find them everywhere especially with regarding to politics and making money, more to do with personal gain, if you know what I mean (including those saving their reputations and not willing to admit where they are wrong, as to not getting anywhere and maybe being compromised in that respect (beware? I more than hope something works in that respect, and I Feel you're trying.. . and doing the right thing in that respect. Guest guest
Where do you live? The first step would be to see a pediatric neurologist - a good one - to have a CT scan and/or MRI to rule out structural issues in the brain. Sent via DROID on Verizon Wireless [ ] Re: Unusual Gait. Guest guest
Proprioceptive problems..is he seeing a sensory integration therapist, OT or primitive reflex therapist? Those may be able to help. Also of course, be sure there is not a medical problem. It does sound like he has ataxia. Which is rather common in some of our kids. The drunk sailor walking is characteristic for someone with ataxia. So he would need therapy that addresses that. If you have previously done improper chelation, it can take longer to see improvements with proper chelation. And don't do homeopathy that is aimed at removing heavy metals. It can make him worse. I'm betting ataxia J > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. He does not make any sound and is totally non-verbal. Guest guest
Not glad to say, but if you did Dan! Protocol for any length of time you may have to do AC for quite awhile to see a difference. I've heard Andy say to evaluate every 10 rounds and it's likely to be a slow go. Dan! Protocol creates redistribution, AC protocol prevents it. > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. He does not make any sound and is totally non-verbal. Guest guest
Give a lot of magnesium, preferably magnesium chloride and epsom salt baths. I suggest getting an ALCAT food sensitivity test and using the recommended rotation diet. This will take the inflammation down and allow his gut to heal better. After that, treat for yeast because it will be more treatable when he is on a tolerable diet. After his gut heals, he will probably tolerate more foods. Have you gotten a hair test? Sorry I haven't looked at the other replies. > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. He does not make any sound and is totally non-verbal. Guest guest
HI Has he had a metabolic work up -low muscle tone -poor co-ordination etc can all be rooted from mitochondrial dysfunction.the drooling sounds like low tone of the face /oral cavity which may also be the reason for his lack of sounds.Does he chew his food? I would get his amino acids /carnitine /lactate and liver function checked as a basic work up and see from there -if this is the problem then mito supps may be of great benifit......carnitine coq10 riboflavin antioxidants etc there is a great article on mitochondrial problems in ASD in the autism File mag this month HTH > > > > Everyone is different. Guest guest
And ours was like this before chelation; minimal balance, frequently ran into walls. The ped said it was " normal " that many toddlers think the wall will move, geesh. At 3 she could not dress or undress herself, did not alternate feet going up or down steps. All solved with chelation, just chelation as we have never done any formal therapy. R > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. You are right he doesnt chew his food, just swallows them. We have been giving him some form of mito cocktail with carnitine,CoQ10. Guest guest
Rochelle It is blood tests .I am not in the US but your general pediatrician should be able to run them but a metabolic specialist would be better. My son regressed and his muscle tone detioriated so bad he couldnt get up from the floor -with that he lost all sounds.he went from a strong muscly wee guy who was walking indepenantly at 11 months to that at 20 mths.I eventually got a dr to do some blood tests .his alanine /lysine ratio was 12:1 ,really high alaninie .elevated lactate his ALk Phosphate (liver test) was nearly 5000 (norm here is 200-300 ..everything was badly deranged really and he then developed seizures. My son is not recovered but he is progressing well . I do think chelation is necessary but he may need mito support along with if there is mito damage it would be worth speaking with your DAN about the mito stuff- if you are doing OTC supps they may not be strong enough.alot of kids need the stronger prescription ones Also there are other issues when my son is yeasty -he sinks back into that isolated world that is autism and looses his words. If the gut is in bad shape -the toxins produced by the bad guys will do no favours either. I am no expert -just a mother desperately muddling my way through.ive always worked my research round his current set of symptoms . I think mitochondrial damage is very much part of the picture for most of our kids with autism but there is alot we can do to help it and like the other girls have said if you gets the metals out things gradually can come back to normal.I hope you are lucky to have a good ped. I believe in therapies when the child is well enough to gain from it but no amount of speech therapy is going to work if his muscle tone is as bad as my son's.i paid out huge money aswell and saw no benifits at the time HTH claire > > > > > > > > Everyone is different. Guest guest
I, an adult, treating myself have gotten over my difficulty walking ... I have had to avoid food sensitivities.. I have had to boost my adrenal glands, increase sulfate levels using epsom salts baths. I cannot tolerate the adrenal supports , ACE nor cortisol so I use the homeopathics , an adrenal support combo , plus a homeopathic of the hormone that regulates cortisol called ACTH. As well using some homeopathics have helped. I found this homeopathic called merc tailbone by Kroeger homeopathics very good. It helped me to feel once more connected to my legs.. and to alot less fatigue , Now I can stand for long periods of time whereas before I hated being on my feet. http://www.alternative-healthresources.com/catalog/details.asp?prodid=HK 0022 & cat=71 & path=54,71 Another one that helped is a nosode homeopathic of the part of the brain which regulates the pathways between the two sides of the brain called Corpus calleux.. sorry that is in french and I cannot remember the english name.. nanci > > My son who is 2.5 year old was diagnosed autistic in Feburary 2010. Guest guest
My son was a big drooler, too. Zinc and going completely dairy free (I mean religiously b/c even a little casein would cause major drooling for him) helped us with the drooling dramatically. Actyl -Carnitine (sp) helped with our motor, we also did hippotherapy (horse back riding) and that helped a lot with balance issues. MB12 shots really helped with language. Doing it every other day, as opposed to every 3 days made a big difference too. Antivirals helped him get healthy and he went from a very sick boy to one who could fight off illnesses very quickly. Hang in there! Every kid is different and its a matter of finding what works for your child through testing and just keep trying new things. Good luck and stay strong!
