Guest guest
Did you do the same stuff for you that you did for them? Is that info on your website anywhere? Were there positive results? I chelated myself along with my kids, I was in my late 30s when I started. It was very helpful for me, resolved several issues. Guest guest
Dana,  I was reading some of your information this morning. You were talking about your son regressing with iron supplements. I have noticed a regression, but never associated it with iron. In his last cbc, the iron and ferritin levels were the only ones too low. His ped. put him on pretty hefty doses of iron(3ml. 3xday). If the levels are too low, then they are not iron toxic, right?  Everything else was in the normal range, which surprised me, considering how he eats.  D. Guest guest
ok thanks. This is one of my concerns. Seems like the more we do, the worse he gets. For the last few weeks he has just been falling apart. Headbanging, and when you try to stop him he turns on you. His doctor put him on 1mg. of Risperdone until we can see the neurologist. Hasn't touched the anxiety. Also sensory problems are out the roof. Today he went to pieces when the phone rang. When I talk on the phone, he runs in the bedroom and covers his head with pillows. Walks around with his eyes closed or squinting most of the day. The only time he is calm is when he is swinging or riding.(that's been going on for a couple of months now). Haven't seen this kind of sensory stuff since he was 8.  D. Iron can cause oxidative stress which is already high in mercury toxicity the body will then often dump Iron in a bid to lower oxidative stress. Kenny > > ok. Guest guest
You may be right. When he had his colonoscopy, the doctor said the biopsies showed no yeast, but he has been on probiotics for years. He ran out of the current stuff and I ordered some from Kirkman. He started having some kind of reaction to this, so we stopped. We then tried some GSE and he went berzerk, so we didn't use that. Then we tried Trienz, reaction. Could it be that the probiotics just kept the yeast in check and when I added vit. B and stopped the probiotics that the reactions I was getting was die off stuff. Now he hasn't been taking anything for yeast ever since this craziness started. How likely is it that at least part of this is from yeast? How do I get to the part of your website that lists everything he can take for yeast? Would you start again with probiotics that have been agreeable in the past or try some Biotin? I need something to start that is kind of mild because he over reacts to everything or something that is not likely to cause wild reactions. Any ideas? Guest guest
I do not know. All I know was it was a cbc. Actually that was found during the blood work of his last colonoscopy in November of last year. Then they did another bloodwork and it was a little worse. But this kid eats hardly anything except KFC strips, a hot dog a couple of times a week and some ice cream. He takes whole food multivitamins once a day, but I can't see how he could possibly not be deficient in something? I do know that the doctor said on our last visit he wasn't doing any further testing on him. He would leave that to the neurologist. He was really insulted because I wanted to find a way around giving him Risperdal.  From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Positive results after age 15 Date: Sunday, May 23, 2010, 10:05 AM  > Dana, > I was reading some of your information this morning. Was it a full body iron panel? If not, I would not supplement iron until I got a full body iron panel. My son regressed with iron supplements because he was iron toxic. I used IP6 to eliminate the toxicity. If you believe he is deficient and needs supplementation, be sure to give the iron with vitamin C. > Everything else was in the normal range, which surprised me, considering how he eats. If you don't believe a test result, ask that the test be run again, or disregard it. Maybe the test is not accurate. Dana
Guest guest
ok thanks. And if he was not taking probiotics at the time you gave B vitamins, that would tend to increase yeast. >>How do I get to the part of your website that lists everything he can take for yeast? Guest guest
When we started giving the iron, I don't know if there was any difference; either good or bad. There were so many behaviors, and they continued to escalate. There's no way to look back on that and tie anything to the iron. From: danasview <danasview@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Positive results after age 15 Date: Monday, May 24, 2010, 9:25 AM Â > Dana, > Is it wrong to supplement Iron with only Serum Ferritin being low, about 23(ref range-30-100)? It was a long time ago that I worked on my son's iron toxicity. Several people mentioned that their child had tested as low or normal iron levels on standard tests, but the full body panel showed toxicity. When you started giving the iron, did you notice improvements or problems? Dana
