Guest guest
Hi, My son is 10 years old. His skin is very sensitive to lotions, etc. I tried several 'natural' deoderizors without any success. Does anyone else use Arm N Hammer Antipersperant? will the active ingredient Alluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex GLy put more toxins in his body? Please repsond to me at momtoboys2@... as well as posting on this list. Thanks. Mother at War against autism

Guest guest
Yes it will. do not use anything containing aluminum. Have you tried the one from whole foods that is a natural deodorant spray? I think it works great. they also make a body powder that does not contain talc, only things like oat flour and natural oils for fragrance. Have your son tested for iodine deficiency, as well. Do not use anything containing aluminum! I had my first breast biopsy at 27. I had fibrocystic breast disease. I had to have more biopsies over the years with subsequent removal of dysplastic cells. I was on the road to breast cancer. I had my iodine levels checked. I was deficient. I started supplementation. I gave up antiperspirants and anything containing aluminum. I do not eat food from cans. I do not use aluminum foil to store nor cook with. We use only stainless steal pans. My last mammography was great. I don't have fibrocystic breast disease any more. Aluminum is a cancer-causing, neuronal cell death causing chemical.

Guest guest
It is toxins and bacteria that cause body odor. Then at puberty, the hormones kick in, and that makes it worse (not sure why). I would suppose anyone at any age could sweat. Sweat is one of the body's detoxification systems (which is absolutely why you don't want to stop this system by using an antiperspirant!). So if there are (and there are) toxins in the sweat, it will smell. Talc is a no-no. You can make your own body powder using oat flower (if you are not gf) or you can use tapioca flour, or my grandmother just used corn starch. If you want fragrance, by natural oils to mix in. Tapioca flour has amazing absorbent properties and so does corn starch, but I know corn can be a problem for some of our kids too. It's hard to work towards because I know we are all in a hurry A LOT, but move towards not putting anything on your body that you wouldn't eat. Guest guest
Try rubbing virgin coconut oil on the underarms, The coconut oil kills bacteria and the effects last a couple of hours. > > Hi, My son is 10 years old. Guest guest
Hi , Like you, we have tried lots and lots of natural deos here. At a homeschool expo this year, of all places, I finally found one that REALLY works! It is from a family based busisness call Virginia Soaps. The owners are a homeschooling family, and have a child with Autism. The product is a Himalayan sea salt bar: http://www.va-soaps.com/vss2_026.htm HTH ~Robin ==> " " <jagross1@...> wrote: Hi, My son is 10 years old. Does anyone else use Arm N Hammer Antipersperant?
