Hi Liz,

?

Yes, we've tried it, for a few months.? It's not hard at all and we're raw

vegan!

?

That said, it was a disaster for my daughter, exacerbating her behavior.? So

wonderful Christy at Maxam Labs (thank You Summer if You're reading this)

suggested I call this naturopath Althea Myrie (who spoke with me at length, even

though I told her I could not pay her)(refreshing, isn't it!)(as does Summer and

Christy at Maxam.

?

She asked a really cogent question when I told her how high my daughter is in

thallium: " Is there a link between thallium and manganese? " ? So off I went to

search and there is, in the ocean no less, and that's the best I understood it.?

They seem to be a trio iron-manganese-thallium especially the latter 2.? So in

disturbing the manganese status quo, thallium got stirred up?? This is my best

analysis of it.? So we stopped the diet, which I kind of liked (since they ask

the parents to do it with the person who has autism.

?

So if You're not dealing with thallium, I'm glad You're going for it because

their results are impressive.? Did You watch the videos of the kids?? And it's a

healthy diet too.

?

Francine

?

p.s. And I'm open to any suggestions about thallium.? This has been a b--ch to

deal with as everything seems to exacerbate it.

One of my friends told me about this protocol and I thought I would share. Yes,

I approached it like you probably will " another 'cure' for autism (rolling

eyes) " ...but the high manganese/low iron discussion got my attention because it

is one thing I have had difficulty knowing how to tackle.

In fact, about a month ago I was asking about giving a small dose of

bioavailable manganese for the purpose of detoxing the manganese that is not

bioavailable, but no one answered or knew. I believe the problems with

manganese/iron have to do with the mercury/aluminum toxicity, but this protocol

does not mention that - it only offers a suggested diet to return the levels to

normal.

If you are already GFCF and possibly restricted further, this diet should be a

breeze for you to try. I decided to try it because the fruits/vegetables are

somewhat different than we use now and maybe that could make a difference. We

are going to give it a shot. If you do it too, I would be interested in the

result. I will keep you posted on our experience.

In the right upper corner, there is a link to the protocol document. You have to

put in your name, email etc. to get it but can opt out of the newsletter. The

document is 35 pages and the protocol is on the last 6 or so pages.
