Guest guest
There has been some press recently about a study on the use of Oxytocyn for peopls with ASD which showed that there was an increase in sociablity. Has anyone heard of it or ever used Oxytocyn - a nasal spray. Thanks Chris
Guest guest
oxytocin is a hormone, in my opinion, it is not wise to use it unless it subjected to enough studies for a long period i have a friend who use it with her son (ASD) for a month with no result azmerallda > > There has been some press recently about a study on the use of Oxytocyn for > peopls with ASD which showed that there was an increase in sociablity. > > Has anyone heard of it or ever used Oxytocyn - a nasal spray. > > Thanks > Chris > > >
Guest guest
Yes, we tried this briefly a year or so ago. It made our son weepy and irritable. Guest guest
Read up on Respen-A. I believe this is the proper way to do this. Guest guest
Can't stay compliant, which means every time he notices the patch on himself he tears it off and throws it on the floor. You also need to take 2000mg of Calcium with breakfast, because it causes a drop in blood calcium levels. Can't seem to get him to drink that much juice with all that chalky calcium in it before school. We did notice a difference when he kept the patch on for a while though. Maybe they will come out with a cream or something. The stuff is pretty new. I think it would also work better with an older child who could swallow capsules and know not to remove the patch. Guest guest
Well good luck. My son is 13 and, for the most part, high-functioning. I wonder if it would help him in the social areas. > > > > Read up on Respen-A. Guest guest
I would try it for a month if I were you. It is only a temporary solution, like taking aspirin for a headache. Chelation is the real solution. TJ ________________________________ From: <erinpruitt@...> Sent: Tue, February 23, 2010 8:39:54 AM Subject: [ ] Re: Oxytocyn  Well good luck. Guest guest
You could probably have a cream compounded at a quality compounding pharmacy.
