What is your opinion regarding chelating with IV's? Does it really help and go faster than other types of chelation. >>No I don't think so but it does increase your chances of bad side effects considerably over oral IMHO 2. For how long does a session of IV last? In other words can someone please describe the process and procedure for the chelation with IV's? Do they usually sedate the children first? >>No idea, never done it, never plan to - Peta does IV's and will be able to help you there 3. Has anyone try chelating with Zeolites? >>Oh yes, we ae doing that and have seen some good stuff and had rashes and yeast but we are through that now and experimenting with higher doses, too soon yet to elaborate on whether that has made any difference. Guest guest
Hi we have done nearly 30 IV chelations, EDTA and DMPS. Our dr ( Bradstreets clinic) added in - to the IV's - glutathione, vit c and maybe other mins. We did 3 per week for 2 months and did a bi- weekly CMP and CBC tests to make sure liver/ kidneys ok. We had an emergency phone number as well. Charlie didn't like them but complied and tolerated them well so we didn't need to take a break ie if behavior got too out of control. I know some kids were given something to calm them down first. We have seen BIG gains in every area. The transdermal wasn't working for us. We are doing supps DMPS until we go to States again and I feel this is harsher than the IV's and not so well tolerated. I think really trusting your dr is imperitive - not every DAN is skilled enough to do IV's in my opinion. Good luck Peta n > > My DAN Doctor is recommending chelating with DMPS IV's. Guest guest
We only did one IV but Tom shifted loads of stuff. I wish you could do them in this country, in the right hands. > > > > My DAN Doctor is recommending chelating with DMPS IV's. I have no > > experience with chelation before especially with IV's. Guest guest
I have similar question. I have been doing the ALA every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours during the night-8pm,12pm, 8am along with DMSA, which I give to my son every 4 hours day and night. Is the best option to give both ALA and DMSA every 3 hours day and night or continue with what I am doing? I am not sure if I can give DMSA every 3 hours. Thank you, Mimoza > > We have completed 42 rounds of AC chelation for our almost 9yr old son. We have been chelating for almost one year. Used DMSA then added ALA. After reading a few posts I am comcerned because on most rounds we go almost four hours for one night dose. It was my understanding that 4hrs at night was ok. Throughout day we do every 3 hours. Which is it 3 or 4? And I am taking a chance with 4? Could I have done harm? > > Also while I definitely see cognitive improvement, willingness to try new foods and much improved receptive language, I was hoping a year into chelation would yield more progress. My fear is, what if my son isn't a responder perhaps the cognitive gains etc. etc. are result of RDI or something else. He did meet all counting rules, but then someone posted that the hair tests are inaccurate. I am certainly not stopping chelation just wanted some experienced chelators thoughts. > > Thanks so much >
Guest guest
Hi Mimoza, Give both together every 3 hours during the day and every 4 at night. Much easier to keep track of that way.
