Haven,

You're welcome.

I remembered seeing the CareCredit on the dentist's paperwork, but didn't look

into it. Now that you mentioned it, I needed to research to see how good of a

deal I could have had.

I found this on Epinions, online; one star reviews outnumbered the +star

reviews:

Can you go to your dental insurance company about it to see if there is anything

they can do? I'm in a similar situation with my husband, too. He has amalgam

under his crowns, and he hasn't been getting them replaced. He has more amalgam

than I had, so I don't know what we're going to do. He hates going to the

dentist.

I can't believe the dentist did that with all of the alerts about mercury. I

made doubly sure that our son received no amalgam and no fluoride under his SS

caps when he went in for his extensive treatment.

Depending on what you want to do and the extent of the cost...you could go to

Canada or Mexico to see if the dental treatments are less for your husband. My

friend's Egyptian husband went back to Egypt to have his whole mouth done by his

dentist-cousin. A $10K cost here was less than 1/2 of that in Egypt. Anyone

considering this -- as always, do your research.

I could kick myself now; I knew a dental surgeon who had a practice in Mexico as

well as here in the states--licensed in both countries. Unfortunately, I didn't

stay in touch with her.

Yes, I'm waiting to see what he says. If I can't pay it off in a year, then

I can't do it. I have used this card in the past for medical things I knew

I could pay off within a year. It's okay if you can do that, but not good

at all if you can't.
