Guest guest
Hi Drissia, I know a family that has started chelating their 13 year old. It has only been a couple of months; they're not using AC protocol. Of my friends that are chelating, my daughter was the oldest to start which was 8. So far the results vary and I think the results depend on how severe the diagnosis. My daughter is the most severe of the group and although she is behind the others, you can see the changes with her. Hope this helps,  S. ________________________________ From: drissia wright <ritzywright@...> Sent: Tue, May 18, 2010 1:50:31 PM Subject: [ ] Positive results after age 15  Has anyone tried starting chelation after age 15? Were there positive results? Thanks, D.
Guest guest
It's never too late. It just takes the brain and body longer to recover as we get older, but you can recover. Please consider AC protocol chelation if you would like to see results. The other methods don't take into account the half life of the chelator and can cause more problems than you already have. Guest guest
> Has anyone tried starting chelation after age 15? Were there positive results? I chelated myself along with my kids, I was in my late 30s when I started. It was very helpful for me, resolved several issues. Dana

But you can read what I did for my son, because what I did for me is very similar. Dana

Guest guest
Hi Drissia You might find the below link of interest. http://www.healthy.net/scr/Column.aspx?Id=68 Also Andy has said that if mercury toxic then it is often better to be a bit on the low side especially if after taking Iron things get a bit worse and ferritin levels return to low. Iron can cause oxidative stress which is already high in mercury toxicity the body will then often dump Iron in a bid to lower oxidative stress. Kenny > > ok. Guest guest
> Dana, > I was reading some of your information this morning. You were talking about your son regressing with iron supplements. I have noticed a regression, but never associated it with iron. In his last cbc, the iron and ferritin levels were the only ones too low. His ped. put him on pretty hefty doses of iron(3ml. 3xday). If the levels are too low, then they are not iron toxic, right? Was it a full body iron panel? If not, I would not supplement iron until I got a full body iron panel. My son regressed with iron supplements because he was iron toxic. I used IP6 to eliminate the toxicity. If you believe he is deficient and needs supplementation, be sure to give the iron with vitamin C. > Everything else was in the normal range, which surprised me, considering how he eats. If you don't believe a test result, ask that the test be run again, or disregard it. Maybe the test is not accurate. Dana
Guest guest
> ok thanks. This is one of my concerns. Seems like the more we do, the worse he gets. For the last few weeks he has just been falling apart. Headbanging, and when you try to stop him he turns on you. His doctor put him on 1mg. of Risperdone until we can see the neurologist. Hasn't touched the anxiety. Also sensory problems are out the roof. Today he went to pieces when the phone rang. When I talk on the phone, he runs in the bedroom and covers his head with pillows. Walks around with his eyes closed or squinting most of the day. The only time he is calm is when he is swinging or riding.(that's been going on for a couple of months now). Haven't seen this kind of sensory stuff since he was 8. These were yeast symptoms at my house. Dana
Guest guest
Dana, Is it wrong to supplement Iron with only Serum Ferritin being low, about 23(ref range-30-100)? Thanks, Sasmita > > Dana, > > I was reading some of your information this morning. You were talking about your son regressing with iron supplements. Guest guest
>>Could it be that the probiotics just kept the yeast in check and when I added vit. B and stopped the probiotics that the reactions I was getting was die off stuff. I would suspect overgrowth, because B vitamins tend to increase yeast. And if he was not taking probiotics at the time you gave B vitamins, that would tend to increase yeast. >>How do I get to the part of your website that lists everything he can take for yeast? I probably don't have *everything* listed, but here is my yeast page http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm >>Would you start again with probiotics that have been agreeable in the past or try some Biotin? I would start with something I knew had worked in the past. Dana

It was a long time ago that I worked on my son's iron toxicity. Several people mentioned that their child had tested as low or normal iron levels on standard tests, but the full body panel showed toxicity. When you started giving the iron, did you notice improvements or problems? Dana
Guest guest
Thanks Dana, He is going thru very bad yeast die off right now, I know Iron feed yeast. But because he had very low serum Ferritin(9) , I started supplementing it, now its 23(I do it every other day, 1 tsp) I again suspect its yeast that's benefitting more than him, but low Iron can cause other serious problems too, right? I read about your ABA, and I can identify myself with you. I am thinking of putting in 100 mcg Biotin, any suggestion. He is on Nystatin now+Falgyl for Clostridia... But you can start there if you want to. Dana
