Guest guest
That makes no sense to me, I only had one amalgams in all my life, my both children were born before I removed it and my first born on the spectrum, my second child develops faster then average and talks much more then kids this age. My first was vaccinated until age of 2 and my second wasn't . So to me its all the poison that came from vaxs that effected my child Natalia Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with Nextel Direct Connect [ ] Re: Women with more amalgams more likely to have severely autistic child Date: Thursday, February 25, 2010, 9:14 AM  Guess I dodged a bullet. 3rd child; mild on the spectrum. Guest guest
My kids were also fully vaccinated. It's just that my baby had many more vaccinations, more ear infections and antibiotics, and came home from the hospital after a difficult c-section with a yeast infection apparently from someone handling him in the hospital, since I did not have one. If the amalgam thing is true, it does fit me. It makes more sense to me than the junk about it being genetic in a family that has never even heard of autism. Guest guest
Fits me too! I have lots of amalgams, probably 14 at least, but a number were placed after my first PDD son was born. My first one had flu shots(big hype at the time to get them), I had flu shot when pregnant and probably when breastfeeding. So he had much more exposure. My second son had mild issues, had a few less vaccines and I spaced them out(thought that was a good thing at the time!). No flu shots or maybe one, supposedly thimerosol free, then I stopped altogether vaxxing anyone. So I do think it is related. > > > > > > > > Acta Neurobiol Exp (Wars). 2009;69(2):189- 97. Guest guest
I also had dental work done when I was pregnant with the son who has severe Autism. Who knew 18 years ago about this stuff? I sure didn't and apparently neither did the doctors. Guest guest
I read years ago, there were a bunch of subgroups with just as many causes. That's the reason it bothers me when " science " keeps going back to genetics. The only part I believe genetics could play would be a weakness in the immune system not being able to handle the assaults it is subjected to now. Guest guest
I've always heard that pregnancies are a " good way " (meaning, not so good for the babies!) for the mother to dump toxins, and that it's especially true for the first child -- gets most of the toxins. I had 8 amalgams for about 20 years before my firstborn, ASD son. I had them replaced with resin before I got pregnant with second son, though I didn't have time to detox properly and chelate before his pregnancy. He is NT, though (I also didn't vaccinate him, and my ASD son had all his vaccines till age 3). > > Â > > > > It just shows just a several fold increase, so of course not everyone will fit within their findings. Guest guest
Just wanted to add my story= First born had half dozen shots before I stopped, even Rhogam when prgnant. Family went holistic/organic after that. He is/was NT, yet had few issues with sensory-sound-light etc. Second born three years AFTER my amalgam removal and my chelation detox. He has had NO shots, not even rhogam, holistic pregnancy, no illness or insults to him his entire life, and he has severe verbal apraxia, age 2.5yrs old. (most sensory and hypotonia gone with biomed). I thought I would have had it perfectly fine the second time around!!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Acta Neurobiol Exp (Wars). 2009;69(2):189- 97.
