Guest guest
Good evening, I think these terms have been used interchangeably. However, I believe the SPECT is a little more intense in regards than the EEG-based " brain map " that my son had. I do know that Dr. Amen in California has a website that goes more into detail regarding SPECT scans. http://www.amenclinics.com/brain-science/ I believe SPECT scans can pick up seizures. The EEG-based " brain map " that we did may pick up seizure, but I was just focusing on brain wave activity and the deviation from the " normal " brain wave activity for my son. I hope to start chelation with AC protocol this coming Friday. Hope this helps. Jerry > > > > > > > > > I had a brain map performed on my son. I had a qEEG performed on my son and he is currently undergoing neurofeedback also. The psychologist never mentioned that the qEEG (which does print out a 'brain map') could detect heavy metals. Andy seems to say that the Quantitative EEG can't pick up that sort of info. > > > > Correct. > > > > The qEEG may be quite useful and informative in its own right, but you're not going to be able to figure out 'where metals are,' or indeed whether he has them, just from the qEEG. > > > > I think it is reasonable to call the qEEG a 'brain map,' though I haven't heard that term before. > > > > > Jerry, what were you told? Perhaps there's something new here to understand that you can teach us. Could you double-check with your practitioner on this one? If it's a new technique, I want to know about it. And, if possible, I would want to have a reference to a study or document to bring in to my son's doctor and pursue this angle.
