Guest guest
Has anyone else had this crazy experience we have now seen twice before. We have been on Valtrex for 60+ days and added inVancomycin and Nizoral to treat high levels of Clostridia. After a few days we started seeing a rash on the legs along with the appearance of a MRSA pimple. Although my grandson has had bouts of MRSA pimples in the past they have never surfaced while on any antibiotic. The MRSA pimple dries up quickly after being treated with tea tree oil but it seems so strange that the rash and the MRSA have both appeared together the last 2 times we started up again using Vancomycin. Isn't Vanco the drug of choice to treat MRSA? Could this be die off from the Valtrex and the Vanco together drawing out a viral rash along with the MRSA infection it maybe trying to kill? Its important to note that following the terrible sandy diaherra episodes, the rash goes away and the MRSA pimple dries up leaving us with fantastic gains in all areas. Guest guest
My kids have both had MRSA as well, and I never see it mentioned with autism. I have asked many doctors that don't know much about it. I have read that MRSA can cause bacterial menengitis, and I wonder if this could contribute to autistic symptoms. I also wonder how many kids have MRSA and don't know it. I would have never known if I hadn't had a sore on my son tested. I think the nasal swabs for MRSA are ineffective. We are using the Manuka honey in my house for strep and MRSA. I would love to see a doctor study MRSA as a possible cause for ASD. As far as I know, Vanco is one of the few things that kills it. It can live a long time on hard surfaces though, and I am sure you know how hard MRSA is to get rid of. I have also wondered if MRSA can live in the stomach or not. It would be interesting as a possible explanation for ulcers in our kids. But I don't even know if it can survive in an intestinal tract. I wish there was a doc that could answer these questions. I do know that with my kids, the MRSA liked warm moist places like under the diaper area. ________________________________ From: grandmadd <denise.mcquade@...> " " < > Sent: Thu, February 18, 2010 6:13:10 PM Subject: [ ] Has anyone ever experienced this - VANCO draws out MRSA Has anyone else had this crazy experience we have now seen twice before.
