Hi Group.

Have any of you heard of a Vitamin D study happening?

I got a letter from my Rheumy saying they're doing it

now...asking if I want to participate. They say

people with RA often have low levels of Vit. D in

their bodies, and that's what they want to study.

I'm going to find out more this week.

Just curious.

Vitamin D does apparently help with RA. Most of the references I found were fairly technical but here is a popular ont.

Often people with RA take medications that cause them to stay out of the sun, or they feel poorly enough that they don't get out too much, so they don't make Vitamin D from the sunshine. I don't know of any specific study going on now but there have been a lot over the past few years. God bless.
