Ok, been using Clinique and Lauder eye shadow. Got cheap and picked up

Maybelline. I'm paying for it! Can not use anything, bought new Clinique,

still inflamed. Only Vaseline feels well on my eyes.

Anyone experience with like Bare Minerals, success after having issues like me?

I work in retail, need to wear something! HELP!

Thanks

Tammy

I know it's costly but try organic or all natural products. I find the store

brands contain a lot of metals and preservatives.

I use products by avon and have always had good luck verse store brand. I

actually became a rep just to save a little on cost. They do carry a mineral

line it is not organic and everything I have tried in the mineral line has been

great. Hope this helps.

No more costly than Clinique!

I can't tolerate blue dyes in make-up. Try going au natural for a few weeks to

let the irritation completely disappear and then move forward with either your

old, tolerated make-up or one of the all natural brands. You can create an

appropriate look for work without eye shadows. Get that bold lip going!!!

There are sites out there dedicated to all natural make-up. Google them. Also,

maybe doing some chamomile tea compresses, cucumbers or whatever else soothes

the eyes naturally at home might help.

Petroleum free 'vaseline' is out there; consider that.

Ugh. Sorry.

Hi Tammy,

Afterglow.com has WONDERFUL gluten-free, junk-free make-up. The found of the

company developed her make-up products after watching her Celiac mom and sister

struggle to find GF, chemical-free make-up over the years.

I have purchased their lipstick, lip gloss, concealor, and powder. Great

products and super fantastic customer service. They have on-line customer

service help to guide you through color choices, etc. Check out their website

for color choice profiles, too. If you order product, and do not like it,

AfterGlow will exchange it w/no questions asked.

I have been very pleased with their products, and feel so much better knowing

that I am not putting gluten and petro-chemicals on my face anymore :) Plus,

now I can " legally " kiss my celiac kiddos and not worry about

cross-contamination :)

HTH!

Blessings,

~Robin

I have used Bare Minerals for 5 yrs w/o problems, and I tend to get rashes from

sorbitol and certain dyes.

I like the stuff at Evan's Garden, too. FANTASTIC products.

http://www.evansgarden.com/

I find that good quality naturally based products may cost significantly more,

but you can use so much less. A little goes a long way, and your skin looks

better w/o the daily application of chemicals.

Thanks for the afterglow.com link!

Wow, thanks guys for all the info. I was googling last night and so much out

there. Just to get some good web sites to order and people liking the products.

garden has a nice color array and think that will work nice.

I work for a major department store with all the makeup counters. Sad that I've

had issues from all but one. So scared to try things. I've even broke out from

shower gel products, that was like 10 years ago but still, don't vary much.

Hopefully this will do the trick!

Love this group! So much knowledge. I know I could count on ya!

Thanks

Hi Tammy,

I was poking around on garden.com and noticed that their Heavenly lip balm

contains ALA...

From the garden site:

" Why this Lip Balm is called Heavenly!

The Vitamin E that I use in my products is truly natural vitamin E

tocopherols....For the whole-food source of tocotrienols, I include palm butter

(which is the highest food source of tocotrienols and betacarotene). You'll

find Vitamin C, **alpha lipoic acid** which seems to assist and very much

multiply the effectiveness of other anti-oxidants, DMAE — which, it is said,

movie stars use to plump their lips — idebenone, an antioxidant with benefits

not only for skin care but for the brain, heart and general health — this is a

banquet for your lips. "

Just thought I point that out :)

Blessings,

~Robin

Thanks! Didn't order that but wow!

I liked how they have a 5 pack with different colors. So many just carried like

4 basic, not my color, colors. I so hope it works. I drive the girls at work

crazy with all my skin issues. I broke out from Lancôme moisturizer and called

my family doctor wondering it I could take Benadryl because I had a severe

allergic reaction but thought I would be pregnant. I looked like a tomatoes and

sleeping at night was next to impossible. His response was come on in let's

see, I was, and I could take Benadryl.

Thanks

Tammy
