Guest guest
I can't remember specifically, but I know we started with just IV EDTA. Then we did IV DMSA. Then we wound up doing IV EDTA/DMPS. The later is when he had the reactions. Then this past summer he had reaction to IV EDTA only. Thirty or so minutes after the treatment, he had an asthma attack. The second reaction he had in 06 spiraled into pneumonia. The one he had this summer was just a frightening asthma attack but was controlled with the use of Benadryl and then Xopanex rescue inhaler. The DAN wanted us to continue chelating but wanted to add oral steroids just before the treatment. We said " hell no " as the last time we gave oral steroids or son had a psychotic episode. We have reached a plateau with this doctor. I spent a lot of time on this forum in the early years and then just got so busy. I should have kept up , and I should have listened to ANDY back then, but all I have is now. I do believe however, if I had done the AC protocol back then, Ethan probably would have never had reactions, and I bet he would be fully recovered. We will see how it goes now that he is older, but I believe it is going to work. His " autism " is unbelievably better, but stimming and sound sensitivity have returned and though his immune system is still compromised, he still needs help there, too. I am also looking into the BE diet, as well.
