Guest guest
Sharon, Did you try posting your comment a second time? Sometimes messages take a while to go through. About moderation, on some boards when posts are moderated you get a message saying that the message is awaiting moderator approval. I saw that reply from the moderator and few others and I think that those replies are bound to work against the board and probably also the product. Any moderator who mixes commercial interests with managing a forum is bound to have issues with members at some point unless they stay totally impartial about the feedback. I find all the hype around any product suspicious. I haven't seen any real negatives come up about that product and yet I think that NV is high sulfur so some kids are not going to do well on it no matter what. Sulfur in people who are sensitive gives seemingly good results at first but then they go down hill after a few days or weeks and the cause isn't obvious to link with those foods. Still I would like to hear from others here who have tried NV. No moderation on this board means you can hear the good, the bad and the ugly about everything ;-) I would try posting your message again on that other board, hopefully your comments weren't censored. Thanks for posting your issue here. Hopefully it gets resolved quickly. > > hi all, > > i have a small problem and i need some advice. > > im a member on an apraxia group, and lately there has been alot of talk about this new product NUTRIIVEDA. well, i knew that i could order through them but since they had not promoted anything but fish oils until now i instantly thought they were on the up and up. > > well yesterday another member stated she had bought the product from someone else other than the group. the moderators (one in particular) posted very long , and rather mean post telling her they had done so much for her why would she spend her money with other people in order to save money. > > well to make a long story short...my real problem is that i posted how i did not like the way they responded to her post and thought it was in poor taste and that i was thinking alittle harder about NUTRIIVEDA now , because it felt that they were pushing the product and alot of the research was linked to the group. they did NOT show my post , instead they are only posting the nice post that support them??? > > they have alot of info on apraxia but im starting to think that maybe they are censoring bad comments on the supplement. > > help!! what to do?? > > sorry so long > sharon > > > > >
Guest guest
Post it again. Try to keep it to the point that people have the freedom to buy products from all sources, and the group is there to provide support, guidance and info; not an income for the moderators. If that doesn't go through... I'd leave. My guess is I know who you are talking about. In the past I have been such a big fan, and it is hard to hear. The ego has grown out of control. That is the downside of a heavily moderated group. Guest guest
Cut thru all the email crap and skip the drama. Try the product if you want and see how it does for you. You don't know these people aside from words on a screen. Guest guest
Sonds like a troll group. I would hate to be part of a group that was selling something. They come and go here trying to sell Zeolites and other crazy stuff. I would have to question their motives and any other information the were giving me as well. I would quit the group. Guest guest
WOW ... i have never been one for drama, and that wasnt my intention. i may still try the product.  my problem was with the group censoring negative posts. and i wanted thoughts about groups that do censor out info that may be helpful to another mom just to make a product sound better. if NV does good things for my son i will be the first one to speak up and give a complete and detailed report.  but, i will also speak up if i see nothing change or if i see bad side effects. sharon ________________________________ From: jazzyk298 <jazzyk298@...> Sent: Mon, May 24, 2010 12:05:41 PM Subject: [ ] Re: problem on another group...what to do?  Cut thru all the email crap and skip the drama. Thanks, I would like to get your feedback on the product and more from others on this forum. And thanks again for telling us about the censorship on the apraxia board. There are a few other boards that are moderated and this is NOT indicated on the forum home page. Members join thinking they are getting all views when in fact negative or other posts don't get posted. I've found out that board's were censored from people like yourself who post about it elsewhere.
Guest guest
Censorship (of our feeling/s) is an *abuse* (I Feel) and says something (something not very good) about who does so, in that respect, so thanks for reporting it (And please do feel free to be as specific as you can in identifying the problem and in serving justice by as much? that that isn't our job everywhere) It does bear on where I go and what I do, and that's probably why so many of us are *here,* along with chelation, as the *subject* (not so much the object? of The objective, Primary, Objective?) do you Feel? .. . of what we're chelating for, would be my sense of this You could just tell them as much, or pick your own words in that respect, I would say, of doing so ! Glavic The Anti-politician, *leading,* Anti-politician? .. . (as if politics isn't just as bad if not worse than lying for money, or whatever) Because I said so?!. Maybe the first? *I* have no problem with that, I Feel as Understand Thanks for pointing out censorship, of ignorance, or whatever! of abuse (of the opposite of Communication, but what else) where you find it (as far as I'm concerned? .. . (On the leading edge of *Communication,* for what I get out of It.. [and what it challenges if not breaks down, of Moderating, Thereof] is my sense of as much and how to do It, without censorship (and abuse.. . No. It has never been easy (so easy?) to identify abuse (abusers) and serve Justness, I Feel as Understand. That that wouldn't be for The individual, sheesh.. . Be *wary* of trying anything not so principled?!. My advice for Us We're really finding chelating as Dana here recommends (of whoever owns or has inspired that protocol?) especially gratifying.. . Guest guest
Hello Sharon, I know which group you are referencing (I belong to it as well, but have not visited it too much since I discovered the *purpose* of the group-to promote their product.). Any posts referencing how fish oils or their products do not work will not be posted. Solution: Join another apraxia group. Or start another apraxia group. I will join!! 8) E-mail me offlist and we will talk. Suasn
Guest guest
And her book...don't forget the book! For some people, direct supplementation of quality fish oils cause negative behavioral changes. My son is one of theose people. I might do another trial when we have been off casein for a longer time. > > > Sharon - I have been censored multiple times by
Guest guest
I would not try this with a child. There are a few things in here you can buy separately like curcumin, cinnamon and cayenne. I know ProEFA was promoted in this manner quite a few years back, but this one is different for me: a weight loss product that is now being touted for apraxia? Stimulants and fat burners are not something I want in my child. Herbs might be natural, but that doesn't mean they are risk-free and without consequences. I had a private conversation with this moderator a few months back after she posted the product info on this list, I think. She was very nice, very informative, very supportive... but we won't agree on this one. That's just my opinion on NV. Guest guest
When I was on the apraxia group, someone tried to get us to sign our child up for a trial using " Speak " , a newer supplement. It sounded good, but then some other people got on and said that the level of Vitamin E was too high and that some of their children had SEIZURES after taking " Speak " . I was pretty angry that the person was allowed to advertise this " study " AKA advertising scheme on the board because someone could easily have been tricked into doing something foolish because they didn't know better. I left the group because I didn't find it useful. I know we can all make our own decisions, but on THIS group, we watch out for each other. I think Nutriiveda looks good (I researched the ingredients about a month ago when someone mentioned it) but now that Pam has broke it down I am going, " HOLY COW, my son's face would turn ten shades of red if I gave him those things! " (curcumin, cinnamon, cayenne)...they are good - in theory, LOL...but reality is that those three are quite strong phenols and so yeah, you might be asking for it if you try this. Guest guest
, I truly appreciated her book. In contrast to your case, my son was one who had the classic response to ProEFA described by . I consider that find a blessing for us. We call it our 'talking medicine'. It is all about weeding through the information and finding what works best for you. I am not a fan of her moderation style and exclusion of information, but that book really helped our home several years back...
