Don't bother testing, did it the very beginning through regular doctor but

as all tests OK it seemed time consuming and cruel to keep doing it.

We have not a single doctor in the UK understanding Andys protocol, we have

no choice but to do it alone

Went to a DAN Naturopathic Dr for the hair test , OATS and a few other minor

ones.

(this is before I discovered the )

Haven't been back to a Dr. since. We have been going at this for over 2 years.

Great success with the A/C protocol. Learned everything from Andy's books,

(other parents that have been so generous in sharing their

experience),

mommy gut and googling. I do not have any education or life experience that

prepped me for this. Just jumped in bcs I want to save my child. So far so

good!

So no you don't need a Dr.

We chelate without a doctor, these groups are all I need, oh, and Andy Cutler's

book! I educated myself thoroughly first, got my son up and running with all

the supps and then did a trial run.

We did do a hair test for the sake of knowing where we started and we did a

second one about a year into chelation to see the changes (and there definitely

were changes). You can order the hair test from DDI through DirectLabs.com

without a doctor.

We eventually did an OAT (organic acid test) as well, but that had nothing to do

with chelation.

Hello,

Many of us chelate without a Dr.  I saw a DAN! Dr in GA when I did the DAN!

protocol but we haven't seen a Dr while doing the AC protocol.  We are on

round

#67 now; our last test was round #10. I'm pretty sure I will do a test at #100

since those are my markers.  My base is AC protocol and if there are any

symptoms along the way, I research it then supplement for it.

Also, when I did use a DAN! Dr, I actually got the labs done myself.

i'm in the same situation:doing it alone. the problme is i don't know what to do

when removal the amalgams.

according to regular Dr, we get as soon as possible a DMPS via IV few hours

after removal, but i'm so afraid of the side effect... 'cause had bad experience

with it.

i think about osr, but not sure at all. and Andy says have to wait 3 months

after removal for using ALA which is my blessing. what to do? any opinions?

thanks

I chelated four kids and myself, never used a doctor. I tested " by observation

of symptoms " .

Hello Zoe,

To be honest, as long as you keep a log and ask questions, it really isn't that

hard to do. The hardest part for me was working with Yeast.

I have no experience with IV/DMPS so someone else will probably offer

experienced input.

As for as knowing what to do, first purchase Amalgam Illness

(http://www.noamalgam.com/buythebooks.html) and review Moira's site:

http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ANDY_INDEX.html. Keep in mind that Amalgam

Illness was written for Adults so you will have to convert the dosages.

I had my daughter's amalgams removed and I am FINALLY getting ready to have mine

removed.  I am currently prepping myself by taking magnesium, zinc, vitamin C

and vitamin E. I believe the day before the process you're not to take the

supps. At least a week after the final removal, you can start with DMSA; it took

my daughter a month.  At least 3 months after Amalgam removal, you can start

with ALA. You can find dosing information on Moira's site.

Until you are ready to start chelation I would definitely get supps in place AND

oils.

The labs I've done are hair, blood and urine. I have been able to go directly to

the labs and get this done. (labbio, DDI) The labs will send the kits you will

need after you make/pay for your selection.

For me, learning my daughter's systems and learning the supplements have

provided more information for me than labs. The base plan for us is to safely

chelate then deal with symptoms as they occur.  After you chelate for awhile,

you would probably want to try other protocols ie viral, parasite, etc but

remember, as you chelate, symptoms change: some get better, some go away and

some re-occur. So, keeping a log of what you do will prove helpful. ie I

sometimes forget what I did for a symptom that I haven't seen in awhile. I open

my trusty log and find out what to do.

Also, aside from moira's link and Andy's book, onibasu.com is a good site for

reference.

Yes we do. My DO family doc knows we chelate but she doesn't know the hows. She

doesn't run labs or tests for me (other docs in the practice not so open-minded

and she doesn't want to answer for her orders). I do have an MD available - our

homeopath is an MD, and she will run labs for me, but the only thing I've had

done is hair testing. I had blood work done initially, when my son was diagnosed

and I went to a DAN I subsequently fired (he wanted to vax my kid!) - and

learned nothing.

It may take an MD to shoot this crap into our kids and give them autism, but it

only takes a parent's love to get the crap back out and heal them.

While chelating it is very important to monitor other essential metal levels,

like zinc, that can be depleted from the chelation process. Don't do more harm.

Use data to drive your decisions. More information is better than less.

Also, you can't know how complete is " complete " without tests.

If you are giving minerals and following AC protocol there is no problem with

making minerals deplete. This is usually seen in high dose EDTA which is a bad

idea anyway.

Andy has said this does not happen using low dose dmsa on his protocol.

Most people doing AC are not testing all the time to monitor levels of minerals.

108 rounds down and no problems and no testing for minerals.
