Nickel free stainless that is. We were told you could chelate with stainless

braces but my dd has elevated hair nickel now and has been chelating with braces

for the past 18 months. We have also seen a deterioration in her vision and a

need for glasses now too. I suspect this is from nickel exposure..as per Hal

Huggins reporting a deterioration in children's vision with nickel containing

stainless caps or braces.

We have since switched to ala only. When the braces come off we will do dmsa

again to remove the nickel. I can't say for sure whether there would have been

hair nickel anyway without chelation...but I suspect that not using dmsa is wise

until her braces are off.

So if we could do over...we'd get nickel free braces and continue chelation.

Most dentist off these especially if you claim nickel allergy.
