Hi all, I did this protocol 2002-2004 - I was someone whose mercury levels were

literally off the charts, with normal mineral transport (my chart was later used

as an example in Andy's hair chart book). I was using DMPS and ALA and lots of

supplements. My high mercury was mainly due to a broken mercury thermometer. I

used the thermometer in boiling milk while making my first homemade pizza. I am

pretty sure the mercury vaporized instantly, popped out the back of the

thermometer, into my face. I could never find any silver balls on the floor and

had no idea mercury was toxic so I lived in that apartment for years without

proper cleanup. I must've just inhaled a lot of it instantly. I had severe and

classic mercury poisoning symptoms for years before I got diagnosed.

I had to stop the protocol in 2004 when I became severely chemically sensitive,

got scared, and stopped all my protocols. The nightmare with neurotoxin

illnesses continued, with new conditions compounding my issues every year. I

became severely electrically sensitive, got a toxic mold exposure, tested

positive for lyme disease, the list goes on and on. I have a history of Crohn's

disease (from way before the mercury poisoning) and my gut is a mess. Even after

years of Specific Carb Diet, supplements, avoiding toxins, etc. I have had

diarrhea since Thanksgiving 2004, with no reprieve.

I got a hair test around 2007 and still showed high mercury and arsenic, but not

as high as my original test. The upsetting thing was that on that test I did

show abnormal mineral transport. I don't digest supplements so I felt it too

dangerous to do any chelation at that point and tried to work on my gut more.

I am about to order a new hair test. 1) I just wanted to confirm the Doctor's

Data Hair Elements Test is still the test of choice. I remember something about

them changing the test a few years back which changed the counting rules. Can

anyone confirm for me if I should get the Hair Elements test by Doctor's Data?

I plan to use only ALA this time around and minimal supplements. Thank you!
