Guest guest
What is an immune modulator? From: ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH@...> Subject: [ ] carnatine levels and chelation question Date: Thursday, January 20, 2011, 2:01 PM Â My kids are taking 1000 mgs of acetyl l carnatine and at least 500 to 1000 mgs l carnatine fumerate. I was wondering how high people are going esp with the fumerate. We have muscular issues. The kids weight from 140 to 200 lbs, so need adult levels. Also am in a quandry about chelation. Have done about 80 rounds. The kids are really doing a lot better in school. We have finally got their yeast levels down and the bacteria...but we are still having some issues with foods and some behaviors. We are doing what I call " accidental " viral protocol. We are using coconut milk a lot in cooking. We are seeing more results. Here is my question....where do I go from here? Do I keep on chelating, or do I push the viruses? We have done the high C protocol, and did OLE at 3000 x3 a day for almost a year...but these are really viral kids. They are immature but very different from days gone by. I know that there are still viruses....cuz if we go off the immune modulators....oh man!!! Really sick kids...so am trying to figure what to do? Any thoughts here???? Guest guest
My doc reccomends no higher than 1000 mg for acetyl-carnitine, and no more than 2000 miligrams of l-carnitine unless dealing with a specfic condition like neuropathy or CFS. Any reason that you cant do both anti-viral and chelate? Ksrla > > My kids are taking 1000 mgs of acetyl l carnatine and at least 500 to 1000 mgs l carnatine fumerate. Guest guest
Immune modulators help protect the body against disease on a cellular level by stimulating white blood cells which improves their immune response. Beta Glucan is an example of an immune modulator. Karla > > >
Guest guest
ok. and how do you get those? thru a doctor? is there anything natural that serves the same purpose? Guest guest
From what I understand....an immune modulator, is a supp that controls the immune system, it keeps it in balance...not allowing it to cause inflammation or be depressed and allow diseases. It doesn't always work perfectly...but it helps a lot at my house. hth Ronni > > > From: ronnimike <HISSPECIALTOUCH@...> > Subject: [ ] carnatine levels and chelation question > > Date: Thursday, January 20, 2011, 2:01 PM > > > Â > > > > My kids are taking 1000 mgs of acetyl l carnatine and at least 500 to 1000 mgs l carnatine fumerate. Guest guest
We use Beta 1-3 glucan from BetaForce.com It is the strongest and most effective that I could find. Have compared a bunch and there is a comparison chart on the site to look at. hth Ronni > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
We are actually dealing with both. Hubby has neuropathy from diabetes and I have CFS. But we are also dealing with weakening muscles...esp hubby with some cardiac damage from avandi. The kids also have low muscle tone... He has a bulge in his heart near the aortic valve...and trying to get around surgery. He doesn't do well with it at all. Chelating and antiviral cause an overwhelming amount of yeast. We were doing large doses of pros, nystatin, biotin and some other things...plus the beta glucan. I am hoping to get some liverlife and see if that clears the issues...but right now it is a one or the other issue. > > > > My kids are taking 1000 mgs of acetyl l carnatine and at least 500 to 1000 mgs l carnatine fumerate. Guest guest
You can get Beta Glucan OTC. I believe Kirkman sells it. Karla > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

There was a period of time when my son needed 3000mg 3x per day. He did best with l-carnitine, not acetyl. > Also am in a quandry about chelation. Have done about 80 rounds. There were several foods that required certain supplements before my son could eat them. > We are doing what I call " accidental " viral protocol. We are using coconut milk a lot in cooking.
