Of course it coule be nothing at all to do with MB12 but it does seem a bit of a coincidence. Guest guest
we are seeing similar positives with those drops (btw luka was a complete non responder to both mb12 shots and nasal when first tried 2-3 years ago)), lots and lots of merry chatting and pacing, gesturing etc but no sleep problems with that same dose. We are doing zinc monomethionine alongside mb12 as per someone’s advice, as well as folic acid drops. Both by Biopure. Maybe try adding those or another methylation support? hope it turns out well, it is such a good supplement! Natasa Wow. What a vitamin. We've never tried it because I didn't want to do the injections and is doing well and I was getting lazy. So I got some of the capsules from Mandimart (for me) and some of the transdermal for . I took the capsules as a trial - as often reacts the same way as I do to supplements. The capsules made me feel mentally bright and cheery (and honestly, that's a bloody miracle) and I promptly fell in love and shall henceforth never be without them again. I then tried the drops on , according to his weight, 4 drops. Well, let me tell you, that child paced around the living room speaking loudly, telling stories about and Peppa and the Gruffalo, etc, as if he were an evangelical preacher, wagging his finger in the air and everything. The kid could not stop talking and walking. He did not sleep for three nights but he was talking, boy was he talking. Don't get me wrong, he talks A LOT anyway (good lord, three years ago I would have died to have been able to say those words, precious words, those are) but this was wow wee, that kid CAN'T shut up and he can't sleep. So we backed off and didn't give him anymore and I tried the drops on myself (not as many as required for my body weight as that would have required most of the bottle, cough cough). I tried 8 drops. Well, so then it was me, I was happy as larry, mentally clearer (thankfully I can generally control my speech so I didn't pace the floor and preach Peppa) and I didn't sleep for three nights! I'll never do that again. Happy = good, no sleeping = bad. So today I've tried him on 1 drop. He's had a fabulous morning but that could just be coincidence. Does anyone know how quickly the transdermal is absorbed? Anyhooo, what does anyone think I should do? Should I try to give him 1 drop a day and see how that goes or stick out the 4 drops until he adjusts to it and can sleep? He's obviously responding in a hopefully positive way to it and I want to keep going, just not sure what might be the best way. Pangborn says to stick with it for a least a year or two if your kid responds well, I'm just not sure how to get a happy balance. Thanks, Darla

Has anyone used the above products or anyother products that i can get without prescription Thanks Kara
Guest guest
Dr. Cutler recommends not using the injections for B12 because they have found toxic levels of cobalt in kids using injections long-term. You can use sublingual or lozenges, just make sure you divide it into 3-4 doses. Guest guest
Im also curious. I hadnt heard about cobalt toxicity, but our Doc did say that the goal was not to do shots beyond 18 mnths, 2 yrs max. We also did doses considerably smaller than the 64.5 mcg/kg/once every three days recommended by Dr. Neubrander. Guest guest
When you order methyl mate they send a bottle so you can use it as a nasal spray. It supposed to be absorbed quicker than the shots. Guest guest
How do you know that you have cobalt toxicity, how you got it, and what to do about it? When we had the hair test done on our son, the cobalt was in the red and it was the only thing that wasn't either deficient or in the medium range. Guest guest
Here is the study that confirmed high levels of cobalt in children using B12 injections. http://preventdisease.com/news/10/050310_vit_b12_cobalt.shtml If you stop using them, the cobalt levels should come down. Guest guest
I am very puzzled. My son has extremely high levels of cobalt in his hair test. Never had it tested in blood or urine. Also has extremely high levels of B12 in blood test. Doesn't take b12 injections, never has. Used methyl b12 powder for a little while and has used bcomplex vitamin powder. Should I stop using b12 altogether for a while? He is also deficient in vit D, iron and ferritin. Would like to start chelation, but trying to get his health issues under control first and all supplements in place that are necessary. Â Thanks for any help. Guest guest
People that have heavy metal toxicities may have low levels of iron/ferritin due to their bodies trying to reduce oxidative stress. If you child has heavy metal toxicity, iron supplementation may cause a worsening of symptoms. Increase supplementation of antioxidants and see if this helps with ferritin levels. If iron supplements do not worsen symptoms, then his inability to absorb the iron may be the problem. In this case, betaine hydrochloric acid or ascorbic acid may help increase absorption. Guest guest
All my sons stimming went away on the shots, but now reading about the cobalt toxicity, I don't think I want to continue them. MB12 is supposed to be absorbed slowly, hence the reason for the shots. Do you know people who are having good luck with the spray even though it is more quickly absorbed? How did you teach your child to take the sublingual tablets and let them dissolve vs. just chewing them up? I'm afraid my son would just want to crunch 'em up. > > > > > > > > Hello All > > > > > > > > Im giving my son mb12 injections for about a year and half now.Initially I had read it should be given for 2 to 3 yrs.We noticed changes earlier on.Now with chelation im wondering if i can give other products of mb12 like > > > > > > > > http://www.spectrumsupplements.com/content.asp?node=211 & pgid=254 & lang=en > > > > > > > > or > > > > > > > > http://www.spectrumsupplements.com/content.asp?node=297 & pgid=259 & lang=en > > > > > > > > Its hard to inject it as he runs away or doesnt seem to want it. > > > > Has anyone used the above products or anyother products that i can get without prescription > > > > > > > > Thanks > > > > Kara > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
The ones that Ive talked to using the spray say because it is absorbed more quickly they have to spray twice a day, usually 1 spray per nostril. Its been about 50/50 between those that like it and those that dont. We made a game out of how long he could let the tablet sit there without chewing it. It took about two weeks before he got the hang of it.
