Guest guest
Hello, I observed a patch of red tiny dots/cluster of dots right above the crack line on my daughter's body this evening. It was very itchy for her and she kept itching it all evening. What could it be from? any idea? Anything to do with supplements? Thank you! Shruti. Guest guest
I have recently started her on GSE, folic acid, tri-enza (enzymes), DMG, Milk Thistle, Threelac and calcium. GSE - 7-8 drops/twice a day Folic acid - 400 mcg/once a day Tri-enza - 1 cap every meal DMG - 125 mg/once a day Milk thistle - 100 mg/once a day threelac - one pack a day magnesium citrate - 75 mg 4 times a day p-5-p - 25 mg/ 4 times a day Vitamin C - 250 mg/ three times a day Vitamin D - 1000 iu/ once a day Calcium - 75 mg/ 4 times a day l-Carnitine - 250 mg/ three times a day Probiotics - 2 caps She has developed bad cold/stuffy nose with lot of mucus... she generally does not have lot of mucus. Her seizures have increased in past two days also... could it be related to any supplements listed above? I am waiting on starting Taurine, Lecithin, Gaba, creatine ethyl ester and carnosine greadually. Do I need to watch out with any of these supplements and her seizures? Thank you!! Guest guest
About the seizures, did you recently increase any of the B's. B vitamins directly affect the CNS, for better or worse. > > > I observed a patch of red tiny dots/cluster of dots right above the crack line on my daughter's body this evening. > > > It was very itchy for her and she kept itching it all evening. Guest guest
Hi Shruti, The P5P dosage is very high, but I don't see any B12? And you may want to consider using active folate (5-MTHF); some people have a mutation that affects their ability to use plain folic acid. Also, the calcium is high relative to the magnesium. You might want to reduce the calcium. Are you doing CoQ-10 with the carnitine? Guest guest
Yes I increased B6. Could that be it? I also started giving her 400 mcg of folic acid... so it could be that also... I will take folic acid off for now and see how she does.... Any other suggestions for other supplements? Thank you! Guest guest
Threelac is new? Is Threelac dairy free and is your daughter dairy free? I don't know why the rash would be clustered in that one area, though. My son had a rash there when we were fighting viruses with Olive leaf extract. It went away after a few days but it wasn't itchy. It could also be the enzymes or the GSE 'working'. Sometimes these skin irritations pop up when trying new things. Hard to explain why and sometimes hard to determine the source. With seizures, you have a more complicated situation. I wish you success in figuring this out. Guest guest
Thanks Pamela! Yes the red patch of dots disappeared two days later.... could be GSE working. Guest guest
Well, watch for speech improvements or other leaps in progress. That is what we saw after the rash on his low, low back. Could be a good sign! > > > > > > > I observed a patch of red tiny dots/cluster of dots right above the crack line on my daughter's body this evening. > > > > > > > It was very itchy for her and she kept itching it all evening. Guest guest
> I have recently started her on GSE, folic acid, tri-enza (enzymes), DMG, Milk Thistle, Threelac and calcium. Anything recently started would be suspect, since this is a recent development. > GSE - 7-8 drops/twice a day High phenol, you might need it with No-Fenol enzyme. > Folic acid - 400 mcg/once a day This dose was not nearly sufficient for my son. > Tri-enza - 1 cap every meal > DMG - 125 mg/once a day My son did not tolerate DMG, he did very well with TMG. It needed lots more folic than you are giving, plus carnitine, for proper absorption. > Milk thistle - 100 mg/once a day > threelac - one pack a day This probiotic contains a strep strain, last I checked. I think it also contains some milk, if that is a concern. > magnesium citrate - 75 mg 4 times a day We had problems with magnesium here, until given with taurine. But your dose is not very high. > p-5-p - 25 mg/ 4 times a day Will tend to increase yeast. > Vitamin C - 250 mg/ three times a day > Vitamin D - 1000 iu/ once a day Both of these will tend to increase yeast. > Calcium - 75 mg/ 4 times a day My son was calcium toxic. > l-Carnitine - 250 mg/ three times a day Try increasing this. > Probiotics - 2 caps You should probably add a B vitamin multi. > She has developed bad cold/stuffy nose with lot of mucus... she generally does not have lot of mucus. At my house, this was caused by yeast overgrowth, and taking supplements that were no longer required or not tolerated. >>Her seizures have increased in past two days also... could it be related to any supplements listed above? See above. > I am waiting on starting Taurine, Taurine will tend to help with seizures, so I would start that ASAP, see if it helps. >>Lecithin, Gaba, creatine ethyl ester and carnosine greadually. Do I need to watch out with any of these supplements and her seizures? Add one at a time, so you can determine any problems, benefits, etc. Dana
