Guest guest
This all makes total sense but how on earth do you fit it all in. it takes me ages to get Tom’s dinner and all the supplements down him. I then give the charcoal at bedtime which is about an hour to an hour and a half after dinner time but where would I fit in the oxypowder after the charcoal (at the moment I give it with the supps at dinner time) Anyone else fit all this in? >>Leave the Oxy where it is and see what happens? I give supps while Sam is alseep - just like a chelation dose - a skill I'd advise peopel to learn ASAP with biomed - Sam would not get any probio's at on an empty stomach unless we could do this. With the current fashion for suppositories and TD's really really useful skills like these are being lost.............. I don't NEED to use Oxy after charcoal - I am doing it as part of the Yasko Protocol. It bungs some kids up and others are OK so see how he goes - you should be able to see the darker sooty loooking poop and estimate transit time - this is what alerted Steph to Tom not moving things along, another game to play with examine the poop! Guest guest
We might be wrong but we give charcoal with oxypowder. A sort of shake and vac approach, hoovering up the nasties and flushing them through. Not very scientific but generally works. > > Thanks Steph and Mandi, > > This all makes total sense but how on earth do you fit it all in. it takes > me ages to get Tom's dinner and all the supplements down him. Guest guest
, we don't know . The girls live out of town in a religious sect and we are not sure what to make of it all but our minds are going crazy. Not having enough money to get an attorney we are trying to find a way to investigate the place, the mom, etc...its all a messy, long story....Donna
Guest guest
Hi Donna, Activated Charcoal is given when a toxin has been ingested. It binds with the toxin and stops the absorption of it. It usually makes them vomit, and have diarrhea for a bit after. Sometimes you can get the patient to drink it straight from a cup, but it is horrible. Usually we insert a nasogastric tube (through the nose to the stomach) and slowly instill the charcoal through the tube. Yes, I would be concerned about why they were using it. Kirsty activated charcoal Just a quick question....has anyone ever heard of activated charcoal? If so, what is it given for? My stepdaughter was given this and her dad wants to know why it is given. Honestly, I am not very familiar with it. Everything points to it be given for poisoning, toxins, etc...So needless to say we are concerned... Guest guest
Your subject really caught my attention, because I've heard about the amazing properties of charcoal all my life, and just started reading a book about it a few days ago. It's true that charcoal is best known for treating toxicity but " toxic " is a loaded word. In reality, anything can be toxic. Remember the woman who recently died in that contest from drinking too much water? Peanuts are toxic to some, and not to others. Many people use charcoal safely as a home remedy, and although it looks awful, it really doesn't have any taste. Charcoal can be used internally, such as in cases of mild food poisoning, or externally to relieve the inflammation that often accompanies cuts and scrapes. Of course charcoal use should not be substituted for proper medical care, but I was a bit annoyed reading on the website that it souldn't be used without notifying a physician. It has been used safely for millenia, and there are no known cases of " overdose. " I hope this reassures you that that charcoal use on it's own doesn't necessarily imply something serious has happened, and I hope you can get things sorted out with your children. Guest guest
I've heard of this however I'd be weary of getting anything you are going to put into your body from a pet store. Also I bought a bottle of the activated charcoal at WF for around 5 bucks.. how much cheaper do you think the pet store is? Luv, Debby in San , CA 147 pounds lost! 100% of health issues reversed!
