Guest guest
What are you doing for bacteria? Sounds like you have the yeast and virals taken care of, but that could leave room for bacteria to flourish. Guest guest
I thought GSE and OLE are natural remedy for bacteria. No? Guest guest
GSE I think is more anti-fungal and OLE works great for viruses here and is a good antioxidant to boot, but hasnt been effective for bacteria. We use Sacc B and lots of probiotics. Karla > > > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? Guest guest
Sacc B and probiotics. We use Klaire Therbiotics and Culturelle. We were also using VSL 3, but my son was just diagnosed with PANDAS and VSL has a strep strain, so we're stopping that for now. Guest guest
Karla, I understand PANDAS is a clinical Dx, means symptom dependent not report dependent. How you became sure that its PANDAS and not virus? Does he get inflammed tonsilitis regularly, please post the symptoms which contributes to this Dx. Thanks, Sasmita > > > > > > > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? Guest guest
As I understand it (and Im still learning about it) you have to have a diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and/or tic disorders such as Tourette's Syndrome and see a worsening of the OCD or tics fairly quickly after a bout of strep or show high strep titers. My son does have mild OCD, but we'd we hadnt seen OCD behaviors for about 2 yrs. 2 months ago they came back and we couldnt figure out why. No new suuplements, no change in diet, no sickness. He's never shown signs of strep or tonsilitis, hadnt been sick in well over a year. We had the strep titers done and the count was pretty high, so he definately had the exposure, he just didnt show any signs of being sick. Here's a good link for PANDAS info. http://pandasnetwork.org/ Karla > > > > > > > > > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? Guest guest
Thanks for all the responses. I think you guys are right: now I remember what we went through and what we did over a year ago. At that time my son was tested positive for parasites, and then lyme disease, and we also suspected PANDAs. But things were so bad (lots of aggression, defiance, OCD, ...) that I didn't even care about silly laughing and finger chewing, although they were there too. I just threw a whole bunch of stuff at him (based on information I collected from sites like this), which included lyme protocol, antifungal, antiviral, anti-parasites and probios, .... I was so desperate that I couldn't even wait to try one thing at a time and thus couldn't even tell what worked afterwards... I am going to put Culturelle and Sacc B back, and then add antiparasites in two weeks or so. This time it doesn't look so bad yet: so I am hoping I could try one thing at a time to figure things out a bit better. Again, thank you. > > > > > > > > > > > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? Guest guest
My son get darks spots on his body, chews things and laughs constantly because of yeast. I use Enhansa which worked better for my son than biotin and OLE. I also give him as much as 6 capsules of probiotics usually from Klaire labs and switch them every three months. Digestive enzymes seem to help as well. I'm not fully familiar with the AC chelation protocol yet ( buying his book this week) but I know a few parents who use Zeolite (NCD by Waiora) to chelate and that eventually helped with yeast. > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? Guest guest
Thanks. We used Enhansa and Zeolite during the period over a year ago too (plus things like Virgin Coconut Oil, Garlic, Goldseal, Wormwood, ...). Just re-ordered a whole bunch of things again (actually lots of websites save all my previous orders and I am amazed to see how many things I tried in desperation!). I guess I really don't know what worked and what didn't at that time, but I do know that something definitely worked! My son got top 1% in the nationwide math competition (AMC10 for 10th grade and below, and he is only a 7th grader). He also just won 3rd place in mid-atlantic scholastic chess tournament, competing with a bunch of high schoolers! This time I just need to figure out which ones actually work by putting them back on one at a time. Feels good to be working on something as hard as this: nothing in life is harder and more rewarding! > > > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? At my house, the OLE and Virastop would have *increased* yeast. So I would still suspect yeast, because those symptoms meant yeast here. > We have been on these antiyeast and antiviral for a long long time now (since we started A/C chelating almost 3 years ago). I wonder if he is building up resistances? If it's indeed yeast, what else could I do? How much biotin and GSE are you giving? During my anti-viral protocol, I had to give 20mg biotin 3x per day plus at least 4 GSE tablets 3x per day. Dana
Guest guest
Thanks, Dana, as always. I have been doing 10mg dBiotin and 250mg GSE as well as Caprylic Acid, all one time a day, except on weekends when chelating, during which I double all three. I re-started Sac B, Culturelle and cooking with Coconut oil. I am also going to pause the chelation for a couple of weekends. Will see what happens with those first. > > Other than yeast, for which my 12yr-old son is already taking Biotin, GSE, OLE and ViralStop, among other things, what else could be causing this? > > > At my house, the OLE and Virastop would have *increased* yeast.
