Guest guest
Deb, you only need to take one antifungal other than coconut oil and Pau D'Arco tea. Taking too many kinds at once, or taking too high of doses does not make the body get well any quicker, and it can overwhelm and confuse the body slowing progress. Re-read the Anti- Fungal Section of my newly revised article. Bee > > What is the best source for oil of oregano? Is this die-off? ==>Yes it is die-off. When candida is being killed off it puts out loads of toxins which have to be handled by the liver, and in the intestines they put out carbon dioxide (gas), and it can even change your heartbeat and many other functions. Die-off is described as a flu- like feeling. > I would have expected this to get better with each day, as more candida dies off ... Am I taking too much? I have been doing the diet, though more strictly in the last 4 weeks, and taking the supplements for a good year now. ==>Nicola, did you try to start on antifungals too soon? Four weeks is definitely too short a time to expect to get better. Curing candida is not a steady uphill climb where you feel better and better every day. There will be lots of ups and downs. As your body gets stronger it will also do natural healing wherever it is needed, and your body will re- trace any previous symptoms, illnesses, diseases, injuries, etc. and heal them as well. Read articles in the Healing Naturally Folder to understand more about what is happening with you and what to expect. ==>The diet and supplements all by themselves will kill off a lot of candida, and after that subsides antifungals are started to kill off even more. Also I do not recommend oil of oregano capsules - get " real " oil of oregano and put drops in gelatin capsules if you wish. When you start on antifungals (you should only take 1 of the 3 I list; however coconut oil and Pau D'Arco are started along with the diet) you should be up to 5-6 tbls. of coconut oil. Guest guest
I'm with you Pat, Survival Enterprises pure undiluted Oregano Oil has been the best I have tried so far, the most potent, very effective and at $20.00 an ounce is the best price I have found. In most cases I dilute it 1:10 with extra virgin olive as it is too powerful to use undiluted in most cases. I keep it on my nightstand and use 5 drops under my tongue every night before I go to sleep. Survival Enterprises website to order - www.se1.us Infinity Oregano Oil (1 ounce) 100% pure and undiluted! This is the strongest Oregano Oil on the market with an average 85% carvacral rating! $20.00 mountainroseherbs.com has little dropper bottles and little jars that are very handy to put your diluted oregano oil or oregano coconut oil in to use. This is from my article Oil of Oregano about North American Herb & Spice's oil of oregano: (this company has brand names like Oregacyn, Oregamax & Oreganol; the last two are blends that are not recommended): 42% Oregacyn (whatever that is). They claim their oil contains the " only true " oregano, which is questionable, because they say any oil of oregano that contains thymol is dangerous, however that is not true as noted in the books cited above. They have varying strengths available; .45 of an ounce (25 ml) $20.99 up to 1 ounce of the extra strength $54.99. See the complete article at: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/anti6.php ==>If you provide the Young Living website I'll take a look. Does this make sense Bee? Would oil of > oregano take down beneficial bacteria too? Just curious and thinking > way way way ahead. Natural antifungals like oil of oregano, garlic, etc. do NOT kill off nor diminish good bacteria in the gut. I've heard this crazy statement many times and it is totally false! IF " it were true " our ancestors wouldn't have made it; the human race would have been wiped out by fungal overgrowth eons ago since many cultures only used herbs and spices to treat their illnesses. It's drugs and toxins that wipe out good bacteria. Cheers, Bee
Guest guest
Hi April - Yes- get oil of oregano - the essential oil is for smelling, not consuming. Are you diluting the > already diluted or using straight oregano essential oil and diluting > it in olive oil? > ==>Hi April. It is difficult to sort out what is the correct oil to take internally and what isn't. Essential oils are okay to take internally if they are pure and 100% and if they are properly processed. Aromatherapy oils are in general not okay for internal use. The NOW brand 100% clove oil is okay to use; I can't recall how it is labelled. I use it internally but I have to get my health store to order it for me since they do not stock it on the shelves. There are 2 sizes, and the large size is cheaper in the long run. Different oiil of oregano brands contain different strengths of wild oregano, with some being diluted with olive oil more than others. See the article which lists brands and their content on my website. Some people put oil of oregano drops in gelatin capsules because it is quite strong to take directly in the mouth. With most brands can be diluted 50/50 with coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. If you read the Oil of Oregano article it will explain a lot about diluting and using it. I do not suggest you rely on messages on the group totally unless they are written by me, since the best information is on my website. Nature's Answer oil of oregano is not a good quality one since it only contains 54% carvacrol, whereas good quality brands contain at least 75%. It would be better to buy a good quality brand that contains at least 75% carvacrol - see the brands listed at the end of this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/anti6.php +++You need to take more of your brand to get enough - I can't do the calculation right now, but maybe you can figure it out. +++Yes, you can put drops of oil of oregano in gelatin capsules to take them. There are many herbs that are very hot, and they produce heat but they do not actually " burn. " I don't know where such false information comes from, but it isn't the wildest thing I've heard. Gelatin capsules usually dissolve in the stomach, and that's a good thing, since it will kill off candida in the stomach. Oil of oregano also alleviates an upset stomach. If you take other things than recommended, eat off-diet foods, are exposed to other toxins, etc. the body can shut down its healing mechanisms. Guest guest
Another good news story everyone seems to be getting better today except me, why do you have to take another antifungal if the coconut oil is doing the job!!! Anne From: sokolatapapaki <sokolatapapaki@...> Subject: [ ] oil of oregano Date: Sunday, 12 April, 2009, 9:26 PM Hello Bee, moderators and group. I hope you are all doing well. I am currently taking 6tbs of coconut oil (I am on my 3rd month following the diet + supplements 100%)and I am not having any die off any more. I was thinking about starting oil of oregano (low doses for the begining as it is described in Bee's site ). I just wanted to ask if this is going to be very harder than coconut oil...I read that coconut oil is a mild antifungal and that oil of oregano is a strong one. This is scaring me a little bit.....Coconut oil gave me some bad die off and kept me off my work some days. Should I expect much stronger reactions from oil of oregano? This week is Easter for us. Should I start it later, so as not to be sick during these days? I know that I can stop it if I have too bad die off. I just need some encouragement to start it. I definately understand that everyone is different. I would just like it very much if someone could share with me his experience from starting oil of oregano (or any other strong antifungal that Bee recommends). Thank you very much. I am still doing really great on this program and never want to quit it! Bee you definately saved me!!! Marisa
Guest guest
I am using clove oil for the additional antifungal. I did experience die-off symptoms in the form of wooziness. Take it slow, don't increase the drops until you're not having any die-off. I was a little apprehensive, too, but I didn't find it that bad. I should also mention that I had severe indigestion for days on end after I started the clove oil. However, after experimenting, I found that the clove oil was NOT the cause. H (I'm adding and initial, too, since it looks like there is another on the forum) I just wanted to ask if this is going to be very harder than coconut oil...I read that coconut oil is a mild antifungal and that oil of oregano is a strong one. Guest guest
Hi Marisa, If you don't feel like having extra die-off this week during your Easter celebrations, wait another week to start taking the oil of oregano. The oil of oregano is quite a powerful antifungal and can cause you more die-off. I don't want to scare you. It's just if you are feeling pretty good and just want to be with your friends and family, it's not going to hold you back by waiting another week. Just continue with what you are doing now. My husband went a little nuts in the beginning and thought that 'more was better' and started taking oil of oregano when he was only able to comfortably take about 2 Tbsp. of coconut oil (despite me telling him over and over again not to!) and he had a major healing crisis which kept him home from work for almost 2 weeks. I think he learned his lesson not to go overboard! LOL! I don't think it's any worse than the coconut oil was when you first started taking it, but it is powerful, so start out slowly when you do decide to go for it. It's good to hear you are doing so well! > > Hello Bee, moderators and group. I hope you are all doing well. ><snip> > > This week is Easter for us.
