My wife lived in Kiev and they played outside not even knowing it had happened

Were heavy metals found? What illnesses resulted?

It could be a major contributor to our daughters issues and lack of speech

Thanks

Hi

I lived in Kiev in 1994, 8 yrs after Chernobyl in 86. A friend at the US embassy

would tell us test results of radiation in the river as we often would go

swimming there in the summer. It was always clear but what was their baseline

permitted levels? My daughter born in 1996 is normal, no problems there, we left

when she was 1.5 yrs and moved to Moscow. My son born in 1999 has autism as did

another boy born a year later. I don't think chernobyl is an issue but the

leaded petrol which was withdrawn from use after we got there and the

unregulated use of many products containing lead eg paints, etc, polluted the

environment. The Russians are a depressed lot as did I become afer 6 yrs there

and I have issues around toxic metals now.

She's not been here in a good while but if you use Onibasu and search for

Valentina and Denis you could maybe pick up an email. She is in USA now or

was last we heard
