Guest guest
Blair, I do know you need to separate GSE from probiotics by about four hours. Haven
Guest guest
I always made sure to keep iron and calcium separated. I used a rule of thumb of " at least 30 minutes " . I later learned that a substantially longer separation (more like 2 hours) is better. And don't take stuff that kills microbes at the same time as taking pro-biotics. (This includes yeast treatments, antibiotics, herbal anti-microbials, etc.) For my medical condition, there were a few other specific things I was aware of but I imagine most of those won't apply for most people on this list. (One example: zithromax is absorbed best when taken with something acid, so don't take the prescription digestive enzyme Pancreacarb with it. Other digestive enzymes are fine. I don't imagine anyone else on this list has ever been prescribed Pancreacarb.) HTH. Does anyone know of a good go-to list of what can or can't be taken with the regular supplement list. I guess I mean to ask for a supplement schedule. I am pretty much talking basic vitamins, minerals, chelation agents, and the other usual supplements via AC protocol (like aminos, probiotics, etc.) If this is too loaded of a question I am very sorry. > Thanks for any info! > Blaire >
Guest guest
The only things you cannot take at the same time are antifungals and probiotics. Because one will kill the other and they won't work. There is no problem with taking minerals and vitamins at the same time. Our body normally gets vitamins and minerals all mixed together in food, so there is no rational behind separating them. I have not read in any vitamin manual that you should separate them, nor have I ever done this and they still work fine when I take them. aminos and vitamins are fine. Guest guest
Don't take oils together with minerals because they will make soap in the digestive system and neither one will be absorbed. Calcium and magnesium should be taken together in a 2:1 ratio with an acid (like grapefruit juice or lemon water) - other vitamins, minerals and food should be taken away from calcium because calcium blocks nutrient absorption. > > > > I don't know what to search for under the archives, so I'll ask here. Guest guest
Oooh, that's good to know about minerals and oils. I didn't know that. What I've always wondered about -- is it ok to take enzymes with amino acids (like carnosine, carnitine, etc.)? Would enzymes destroy amino acids?
