Rose,

I travelled extensively in South America in 1989/90. Before I went it was

recommended to me that I get a whole bunch of shots, yellow fever, rabies,

Hep A, as well as having all the regular vaccs updated - MMR, tetanus, and I

don't remember what else. I was told that the countries would not let me in

without valid passport, visas and proof of all required vaccinations.

I got all the shots, (and really wonder what is happening inside my body

now!) and in nine countries, was never once asked to provide any proof of

vaccination!!!!!!!

Tell your friend to check it out further with people who have travelled more

recently, but I'm sure nothing has changed too much.

I was in the Army National Guard for 8 years. I have had every vaccine

from yellow fever to black plague. I received 6 count them, that is SIX hep

b vacc shots because my unit kept running out of vaccine and would have to

start the series all over again. In the last 4 or 5 years since the hep b

vacc I have had blood work done a couple of times for different reasons.

Each time my wbc's ( white blood cell count) was low. I have been tested

for everything under the sun and the doctors tell me they don't know why my

wbc's are low, but the do tell me " not to worry about it " When I get sick,

I get very sick and it takes me a long time to get over an illness. The

more I study the more I believe that this is a form of immune deficiency

caused by all the nasty vacc's I have received especially the hep b. It is

one of those situations where I wish I would have known then, what I know

now.

Yellow Fever is a REQUIRED vaccine for visiting most

of Africa. Check with the WHO website www.who.org

and click on the country.

Trip to Ghana. You can't enter the country without it. Official requirement.

They probably won't accept an homeopathic nosode, which I would usually

recommend for my patients. You can minimize reactions by detoxing and

enhancing the immune system. I can send you a link from my web site if you

contact me off list.
