We ran a Son-Rise program for 1 1/2years for our guy.  He loved it and so did

we.  We saw great positive changes with him.

I would appreciate contact with anyone who has such experience. I'm

trying to run a program for my two affected kids but I can't afford to receive

training from The Autism Treatment Center Of America.

Even if you've had a bad experience and wouldn't recommend this program, I would

love to hear from you.

Please email me off list so we can have a candid conversation. Thank you very

much!

We have been running a SRP for the last 6 months with beautiful results -- I

would suggest calling them toll free and speaking with one of the counsellors --

there are scholarships available, and they also show you how to fundraise. The

tuition is nothing when you compare with what you get out of Start Up -- even

compared with Biomed -- there are also referral scholarships -- if you tell them

Fiona Chooi referred you, you get another $350 off your tuition, plus you can

apply for scholarships It saved our lives. Thank god for our SRP. Best of luck.

Hi Bruce,

I don't have any children (on or off the spectrum) but have volunteered in two

Son Rise programs and volunteered for 4 months at Option Institute (not in the

SonRise program). Does your local library have the books (SonRise and Happiness

is a Choice)? You may also want to see if the library has Levy's book

" What You Can Do Right Now to Help Your Child with Autism " . The Autism

Treatment Center has (several?) free DVD(s) they will send if you ask.

Autism Treatment Center (Option Institute) is in the Berkshires in MA. One goes

for training then runs their own program at home.
