Guest guest
Putting his hands over his ears can just simply be sensory issues. Our guy does this when he gets excited and/or laughs really hard. It helps him cope cause it limits what is coming in. Because visually and emotionally he may be overwhelmed, covering his ears helps deaden any auditory stimulus. He has no abnormal eeg activity anywhere just spd which is getting better with all the stuff we are doing. nancy j a child is diagnosed with asd every 20 seconds From: Liz <elizabethsoliday@...> Subject: [ ] Re: abnormal EEG activity on left side of brain Date: Sunday, September 12, 2010, 11:04 PM  I think my son has the same problem but we haven't gotten him an EEG yet. I have found a lot of resources stating that the left temporal lobe is where the problems are. It was interesting because he tested as being very right brained on the brain balance testing. I am worried because he keeps putting his hands over his ears. Our appointment with the neurologist is Sept. 24. > > > Hello All, >  > My daughter was found to have abnormal EEG activity on the left side of her brain (they were testing to see if she has seizures but she doesn't have them).Doctor said there was some irritation on the left side of brain. They said they cannot tell exactly what could be causing the irritation. Has anyone had a problem with this. How to deal with this? >  > Florence > > > > >

Guest guest
My girl did too. They were not sure what it was, but she is on meds. for OCD now, and they seem to be helping with severe anxiety.
