Guest guest
Hi , I think you would benefit from DMPS. It's certainly worth trying. It's been years since we did DMPS and I can't remember the dose. Each transdermal DMPS dose came its own one-off-use tube. I just used these and I never wrote down the actual dosage the way I did with other chelators. Use the files section or ask Andy directly for advice. Re a doctor - you don't need a good one (although that would be nice) - just one who is prepared to prescribe DMPS (preferably oral DMPS, although transdermal without glutathione is OK - don't use intravenous or TD with glutathione) Best wishes, Steve > > Thank you Steve, > > I've done about 45 rounds on ALA/DMSA but it still messes up my sleep. > It's also a considerable energy drain dosing so much with my memory problems. > > > I'll have to look around for a holistic doctor that would prescribe the 8 > hour chelator. How much of it do you take in a dose? Guest guest
Thanks Steve and Haven. I combine the DMSA/ALA but the 3 hour protocol means I don't get in rounds very often - esp. when teaching full time. Sometimes I'll do 10 rounds in the summer each year. I'm going to look into the DMPS. Thanks for the info Steve, I'll see what I can find on the posts. You have an excellent point that it would be a great way for parents to start without having to do such rigorous dosing when the child is so sick. Guest guest
, The dose should be 1/8 to 1/2 mg per pound of body weight, but it is often a good idea to start low and work up to see how you react. You may be dosing to high? DMPS is every eight hours. DMSA is every four hours round the clock, and ALA is every three hours around the clock. ALA you can go four hours just during sleep period. If you add ALA at all, you need to dose every thing on its half-life, which is three hours (or four just during sleep time) We use ALA only with our son. We do oral. We just keep it at three hours around the clock. By weight he should be around 18 mg, but we started at 12.5, and since we still see some stimming and hyper activity along with subtle gains, we are staying at this dose for a while. Haven Ethan, 11 Round 12 ALA, 12.5 mg
