DE is a binder and should be taken away from meals and meds.

I posted this site for informational purposes. I think any food grade

diatomceous earth is probably fine.

http://wolfcreekranch.net/diatomaceous_earth.html

My son is about the same weight and we only give him a 1/2 teaspoon b/c it gets

thick when you mix it and I can't get more into him. I would give more if you

can, just avoid constipation.

Oh, do you give it just once per day or multiple times?

Does anyone else have any experience with or references on diatomaceous

earth, especially relating to parasites and/or other intestinal organisms?

Google it. DE is sharp, like diamonds. It won't hurt our digestive tract, yet

pierces anything with an exoskeleton. It is commonly used by hog farmers that

wish to avoid lot of pesticides.

I use BioSim (http://www.fulvic.org/html/nano_bio-sim.html) to kill candida and

other intestinal parasites. It is Diatomaceous Earth with added 'bait' to lure

them out of hiding so they are killed. I've found it very effective as I saw

lots of carcasses in my stool for quite a while after taking it.

eating sedimentary rock????

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceous_earth

There are plenty of natural antifungals out there and antiparasitics so we don't

have to eat ground up rock.

The alumina in it would seriously concern me more than the fact that its rock.

Alumina = aluminum.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alumina

Don't give this to a child.

There is DE and then there is food grade DE. We don't eat charcoal, we use

activated charcoal.

Just in case my prior message was not clear, DO NOT CONSUME diatomaceous earth

that is made for swimming pool filters. Food grade diatomaceous earth, which is

consumed by people and animals for parasite control, is a different product.

Food grade diatomceous earth is often called Luvos and is sold at health food

stores. The product sold at hardware stores and pool maintenance stores is not

safe for consumption.
