Guest guest
Deb, I am so sorry your son is suffering. My son has suffered from chelation too. It is just as bad coming out as it is going in. I am working with a teenager and have told her parents about Andy's protocol and what we are doing. On one hand, I can say we've seen a whole lot of gains and on the other hand, I can say it has been very hard going through this. Chelation sucks, but autism sucks worse. Hugs and hope to you, Liz > > So when everyone said " do not increase the doseage " , what they really meant was, " DO NOT INCREASE THE DOSEAGE. Guest guest
Deb, I doubt l can be of much help but let me say l pray your kid gets over this soon. Give activated charcoal, liver support, kidney support and bring him to the chiro if you can, if he has headaches or similar it might help... Why did u increase the dosage? Wasn't he receiving the dose to his weight?? Isa :-( Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de Telcel [ ] Now I get it. So when everyone said " do not increase the doseage " , what they really meant was, " DO NOT INCREASE THE DOSEAGE. " I increased from 25mg to 33mg on round #9 and I really regret it. I don't cry too often, but this is pretty bad. Poor boy just really suffering, I can't fix it, I don't know what to do. I can't wait till this is over. He was doing so well and I ruined it. Guest guest
Thank you Liz and Isa. I know we are all warriors for watching our children go through this. I cannot believe that I live in a world where I have to watch my own child suffer this way. It was stupid to increase the dose. I ran out of 25mg and had some 100mg, so I split them into thirds. I thought it would take me less time, and he had been doing so well. He is 15yo and 134 lbs, so 33mg would have been ok. But it wasn't. I guess now I really understand, though. This therapy is not meant to be shortened. It is meant to take a long time. Liz thank you for telling me that it hurts as much coming out as going in, that makes a lot of sense. It has to be removed very slowly because it is painful to remove it. If it were so easy and so quick and so painless it would have been done by now. I will not make that mistake again. Guest guest
Wow. Did he ever quit the kicking? I'm using ALA every 3 hrs around the clock every other weekend. It had really turned his world around until I increased the doseage. He went from being someone who most people were afraid of, to someone who is affectionate, happy, silly, giggly, laughing, dancing up the halls. A complete turnaround. UNTIL I messed it up on round #9. Deb > > > > > > Deb, > > > I doubt l can be of much help but let me say l pray your kid gets over this soon. Guest guest
Hang in there Deb! I know it's really difficult and it's a slow painful journey, but it's well worth it. The more rounds he has the easier it will get. Remember ac chelation is a marathon not a sprint. At the beginning it's hard, but it does get better. Remember there are thousands of kids and adults doing this protocol. You are not alone and somewhere in the world, there are others waking up every three hours, most weekends. Some rounds go smooth, some are kind lousy. Stay strong. Guest guest
Been there. Just go back down and increase the yeast protocol. In the beginning I tried upping the dose every 10 - 20 rounds; it didn't work out. We have been on our current dose for over 30 rounds (#77 now) and are still seeing improvement. Guest guest
Round #9 is just the beginning. You have not ruined it. Go back to the dose he tolerates and stay with it. Guest guest
Not sure whether I need to increase the yeast protocol, or maybe I'm giving too much yeast protocol already. It seems that silly, giggly is yeast. I prefer that to rage. Maybe rage is die off and constipation. I give 2 Candidase many times a day. When I give Biotin he gets silly, giggly. Is anyone giving just Biotin without anything else? Will this be ok for yeast? Guest guest
I thought probiotics are to be given at night and not close to antifungals? Guest guest
Don't beat yourself up. We have all been there - accidentally going too high with a dose, my son and I are both chelating and have experienced it. As has been suggested charcoal is good. Or alka seltzer gold. Epsom salt baths help. Lots of antioxidants like vitamin C and E. If there are adrenal issues - extra adrenal support. I can only describe the feeling like being hung over - and this can happen with only a few mg increase - headache, muscle aches, exhaustion, like you have been beaten up. It passes in a day or too. If you have a good dose, stick with it. We learned that the hard way - you can stay at a dose for months and months and it still gets the job done. Guest guest
Did going too high on doseage cause stomach ache also? I used extra Alka Seltzer Gold, extra Adrenal Cortex, extra Cal-Mag, extra Taurine, extra L-Glutamine, extra Biotin, extra Constipation support. Nothing seemed to help. Finally on day 5 after round he settled down. Those were 5 really miserable days and remind me so much of how he was full time before AC chelation. After DAN chelation and before AC chelation, that's how he was every day. We never had 2 days in a row of him feeling ok. We were overjoyed if we had even one day with no issue. Honestly I don't know how he has survived these last 3 years. He is really a hero for living with this illness. Guest guest
My son had the stomach aches from chelation and I gave him aloe to heal it. I bought a big aloe leaf from the market and scraped out the insides to put in a smoothie. You can make a good smoothie for stomach healing using banana, aloe, pear juice, and ice. > > > > > > > > Deb, > > > > I doubt l can be of much help but let me say l pray your kid gets over this soon. Guest guest
Not in my case- but it did cause my son to lose his appetite, so it is possible. Vitamin C and E in higher doses with the Epsom salt baths were the only things that really helped here. Especially the C- I can tell you that really gave me a feeling of well being after feeling beaten up. My son is an inspiration to me too to go on- he is only 5 and has had to take so much vile tasting stuff and to put up with such discomfort that comes with asd- gut problems etc. He has 115 rounds under his belt and gets better all the time. AC chelation done right is nothing short of miraculous. Just keep to conservative doses - and it is very comfortable. I had to lower my own dose to 50mg- and I had to lower my son's dose of ALA down to 15mg from 20mg- and we feel comfortable and good on and off round. Once you find the right dose- your child will feel just fine. Irene > > > > > > > > Deb, > > > > I doubt l can be of much help but let me say l pray your kid gets over this soon. Guest guest
Candex made my daughter more yeasty so we had to stop giving it. OoO worked well but probiotics at bed time really works for us. I am still working to find a good yeast killer. I give mag with biotin and give it with every meal. Biotin interrupts the growth of yeast but is not a really a yeast killer. Guest guest
Oregano oil, a health foods store product, is great for killing yeast. It'll cost you about $5/wk to use it, but it works! Also, if you are using a yeast killing product, you need to stop eating breads and the like. ________________________________ From: S. <imyconsulting@...> " " < > Sent: Sat, January 15, 2011 1:32:41 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Now I get it.
