Guest guest
I received notice too, here in San Diego. I will be signing the waiver to decline. If push comes to shove, and the school won't allow her to attend classes without the injection, then I will begin homeschooling at that point. We're homeschooling our youngest now. Guest guest
That's what I plan also. Her 16 year old sister is home schooled already. Mickie goes to a private school and he has autism, so I'll pull him out of school also is it comes to that. I did sign an exception form years ago, but don't know if it's still valid. Guest guest
I am praying for all of you in California that you can get an exemption. This is madness! Keep us posted.
Guest guest
I called the number on the paperwork which was sent home with my daughter last Dec. The school official said the wavier won't work for this one. I don't know why and what's the different with this new bill. However, they said, at is point, they are taking information down from parents who called and refused to give shots to their kids. They said there would be a special wavier form related to the new bills and when it came out, we would be informed. I don't know how true it is. We will see. Also, anyone know if the school can exclude students who are not immunized (waiver from parents signed) to join the sport teams at schools? Thanks, Kym Re: [ ] Re: New California Whooping Cough (Tdap) Requiremente That's what I plan also. Her 16 year old sister is home schooled already. Guest guest
You should be able to file an exemption if your child has never had a DPT. If they have had one, all you need to do is have their doctor sign the form. Guest guest
I think she had one when she was a baby, but no boosters. Once I stopped vaccinating Mickie, no one else in the house got vaccinated. She has not missed a day of school from being sick. Last year she missed a day, when I took her and her sister to Disneyland. Why do these idiots keep trying to fix what is not broken?? Guest guest
I don't understand them saying " the waiver won't work for this one. " what the hack does that mean? Exemptions are exemptions, especially if they are medical. I think whenever a child is diagnosed with this disorder, parents push as hard as you can for a " lifetime " medical exemption. I received this from my son's doctors. I think often times the schools lie as they get $$$ for showing the kids have had the shot(s). I know I never once saw my son's school say that Texas has conscientious objection. They didn't even put that one in the school handbook. I heard many times them threaten parents saying their kid couldn't come back to school blah, blah, blah.... when that wasn't the truth. I let as many parents as I could know there WAS another option. This is just a case of the scary world that is to come. I watched on the medical channel (I forget the actual name of the channel, but it was where a bunch of doctors got together to discuss vaccination and how they were going to take rights away from parents and disallow religious exemptions! It was scary! This is the beginning.... I think. And I am hoping that there will be such an outrageous outcry against this. It worked in Texas. Our good ole governor thought he was going to force twelve year old girls to get the Guardasil: he was going to mandate it, but there was such an outcry that that idea was dumped, thank God. I care about what is happening in California because if we don't, then tomorrow it will happen in the next state and the next. What shall we all do when they take away all exemptions and start going door to door forcing vaccinations? I see this as a very real possibility. Guest guest
They do lye, because my mom was told at Kaiser that congress had ordered the regular flu vaccine to be combined with the H1n1, so she didn't get it. Guest guest
I live in California and the exemptions still work. Guest guest
It's all about the $$$$$. " Believe nothing, O monks, merely because you have been told it...or because it is traditional, or because you yourself have imagined it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be conductive to good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to, and take as your guide. " -Guatama Buddha You will may find when absolutes are challenged, they are not absolutes at all - just merely someone demanding your belief in their reality. **** " We cannot, by total reliance on law, escape the duty to judge right and wrong.... There are good laws and there are occasionally bad laws, and it conforms to the highest traditions of a free society to offer resistance to bad laws, and to disobey them. " ~ Bickel *** I believe that to deny a child the right of a free, appropriate public education due to the rejection of toxic vaccination to be in direct opposition to constitutional rights. Vaccination should never have been allowed to be tied to this right in any way nor form. Who is the state to say, " You do not bend to the will of the state; therefore, we invoke ignorance. " ? Our forefathers and mothers are rolling in their graves. To have oneself or ones children injected with any amount of a toxic chemical, notwithstanding the lack of knowledge for both the short and long-term consequence of such, is a form of cruel and unusual punishment for which no crime was ever committed. How did we get here -- to allow such a violation of the sanctity of ones own flesh and blood?

Guest guest
I looked it up. Here is the link to the info about the new law: http://www.eziz.org/PDF/ab_354_faq_for_school_districts_11_05_2010.pdf Page 3 states: What exemptions are available under California law? California School Immunization Law allows (a) parents/guardians to elect a personal belief exemption from immunization requirements if the immunization is contrary to his/her personal beliefs, and ( physicians of children to provide medical exemptions (with a written statement) if the immunization is not indicated for the student. The law does not allow parents/guardians to elect an exemption simply because of convenience, such as when the immunization record is misplaced. Unimmunized students are at greater risk of catching these dangerous diseases and place the entire school community at greater risk for an outbreak. Schools should maintain an up-to-date list of students with exemptions, so they can be excluded quickly if an outbreak occurs So yes, you can use the personal belief exemption, which I will be doing with all 3 of my kids. They can take their f-ing immunizations and put 'em .... well, nevermind. Sorry, this topic really angers me.
