Guest guest
Get on POFAKS, parents of food allergic kids. Was my life saver raising a nt son with severe food allergies. There is a section on kids just with this issue and parents who have gone through it. Many have done the elemental (?) formulas to heal and start food up again. GET THERE! YOU'LL LOVE THEM! Good luck. Tammy [ ] eosinaphilic esophagus Hi, My son was scoped/biopsied and the docs came up with the dx of eosinaphilic esophagus, or allergic disease of the gi tract. We then moved on to allergy testing, skin scratch and patch testing. He has 15 food allergies. Years ago he had an IGG that showed 16 food intolerances. At a glance it looks like he cannot eat anything with the results of the testing. Honestly I have not done my homework on the newest dx. Right now it all feels like information overload. Has anyone " been there done that " ? Which test is more reliable the skin test or the IGG, or are they equal in value? Thanks,
Guest guest
IgG delayed food allergy testing is more reliable. Less painful than getting poked numbers times also. Although my daughters serum gluten testing wasn't very clear and she did benefit from being gluten free. Aloe juice, kefir (use coconut if he's dairy intolerant), can help some with gut disease. Digestive enzymes, removing the offending foods while you work on chelation and antifunals/probiotics etc to help get the gut in better shape. AND be sure to rule out H. Pylori infection. If he had that it could cause inflammation and issues in the gut. Its easily treated. (www.vrp.com has articles on H.Pylori) Jan > > > Hi, > My son was scoped/biopsied and the docs came up with the dx of eosinaphilic esophagus, or allergic disease of the gi tract. Guest guest
Hi...been there done that 6 times. Email me offline if you would like, there are downsides to the elemental formulas. We went the fancy schmancy CHOP, Mt. Sinai gold standard route and have been undoing the damage their mess caused. If you are here you already suspect metals....elemental formula could kick up yeast big time....my son is low acid and giving him prefaced did him noooooooo favors.
