> Dana, i have been giving OLE and GSE to my son for playing with saliva but no

success yet, did not give carnitine or biotin yet.

For my son, this meant carnitine deficiency. Try adding carnitine.

> When you say increase the dose how much increase you mean?

Depends on how much you are giving now. For example, if you are giving 4 drops

2x per day now, try giving 4 drops 3x per day, or 6 drops 2x per day.

> Also since i am not doing AC protocol the OLE GSE biotin and carnitine will

not have adverse effect pl. clarify?

I don't really understand the question. OLE and GSE are high phenol. OLE

addressed bacteria and viruses, tended to increase yeast. GSE addressed yeast.

Biotin addressed yeast and a few other issues. Carnitine was required for the

proper absorption of many supplements.

> And you have said time and again OLE and GSE increased yeast in your house so

if it increases it are these supplements still safe to give?

OLE increased yeast here. GSE eliminated yeast.

For my son, if a supplement increased yeast, that was usually a sign that it was

helping him. Most of the supplements he required for recovery tended to

increase yeast.

> My son is 18. Him playing with saliva has stopped his life in a way. He cannot

go to any program because everyone is saying it is a severe hygenic issue. i

really don't know what to do???????????

Try carnitine.

Hi Dana thanks so much for responding....carnitine what strength??????? please

clarify/ how much you started with? and then increased to how much? mostly the

brands that you tell here are tried out and work so kindly tell what brand you

give to your son and again its strength.

When I asked adverse effects means that it will not interact with the metals

that are in his body( i know now) and displace them in any way?

also biotin brand and strength please because you have mentioned it a lot and i

would really want to buy that too.

thanks much,

> Hi Dana thanks so much for responding....carnitine what strength???????

I started with 250mg. If your child is very young, I would start with 100mg.

>>then increased to how much?

My son ended up requiring 3000mg 3x per day for a while.

>>mostly the brands that you tell here are tried out and work so kindly tell

what brand you give to your son

I used NOW brand. It seems that most kids do best with acetyl-l-carnitine, but

my son did best with l-carnitine, so experiment to see which one works best for

your child.

> When I asked adverse effects means that it will not interact with the metals

Not in my experience.

> also biotin brand and strength please because you have mentioned it a lot and

I used several different brands. I liked Country Life the best because it was a

teeny tiny capsule. It is 5mg per capsule. I started with 400mcg tho,

different brand, and worked up. My son ended up needing 20mg 3x per day.

What about parasites. Mickie was doing the same thing and after treating him

for parasites for a few weeks he stopped. Interesting enough I had also

stopped GSE and replaced it with OLE so that also might have helped.

hi Dana, acc. to your post-----

folic acid-------

" Required for proper absorption of B12 and TMG. For my kids, this eliminated

most scripting/echolalia, stopped my son from " writing letters in the air " , and

caused baby smooth skin for everyone, including me. For kids who don't absorb

nutrients well, can be given as folinic acid. "

My son has also been writing letters in air scripting for a long time besides

playing with saliva, sometimes it's too much, so I also want to try folic acid ,

is this one ok

Source Naturals Folic Acid -- 800 mcg - 500 Tablets

(i use source naturals for Zn also.)

my question is i don't give B12 and TMG to my son. should i give him those or

just folic acid alone can be absorbed.

pl. answer the same for

biotin

carinitine

do i have buy any other supplements to help their absorption.

i just came across Vitacost.com which seems pretty reasonable.

also what are the other very common supplements you use? and which are your

trusted brands?

my son is 18 and he takes

Zn. 50mg

primal defense and no fenol with every meal

melatonin 5mg and

cod liver oil with A & D.

thanks

Also my son is so constipated these days and his stimming of saliva is worst

when he has not eaten for few hours and his stomach is empty, he goes nuts and

I did not use that brand, but so long as it doesn't have a lot of fillers, and

you are having success with that brand for other supplements, it should be fine.

> my question is i don't give B12 and TMG to my son. should i give him those or

You can give just folic. The folic required carnitine here. I am suspicious

[but was unable to confirm fully] that the folic required B12 just like the B12

required folic. So once you determine that the folic is tolerated, you might

try adding mB12. Watch for yeast, both folic and B12 increased yeast here.

Required magnesium.

Was required for the proper absorption of many nutrients.

> also what are the other very common supplements you use? and which are your

trusted brands?

My son doesn't need daily supplements any more. I did start DMSA about 8 months

ago, to see if that caused any additional improvements [it appears that it

does]. I have already chelated my kids with ALA.

Brands I have used and liked include NOW, Country Life, HNI, Sun Harvest,

Nutribiotic, and a few others.

> Dana do you give Ca Mg to your son

No

>> if yes how much and how long you've been giving that? what symptoms have you

seen with its deficiency?

My son was calcium toxic. It required IP6 to eliminate the toxicity, then

giving the supps that calcium requires for proper absorption. He eats/drinks

milk products for his calcium.

I take a cal/mag supplement for myself.

> Also my son is so constipated these days and his stimming of saliva is worst

What are the stims? What supps do you give? What does he eat?

At my house, the most common cause of constipation was yeast and magnesium

deficiency [both usually caused by certain supplements]. Certain foods also

caused constipation.
