I dug up an article I found a while ago about silver. Personally, I would not

use it (even before I read this).

http://www.silver-colloids.com/Pubs/protein.html

If you cannot open it: some have found bad bacteria growing in the mild silver

protein products. Normally, colloidal silver would kill any bacteria, but the

added proteins encapsulate the silver and prevent it from reaching/destroying

any bacteria in the bottle. Protein supports the growth of fungus and bacteria.

Ewwww.

Also, some are produced with casein. Have to double check on your particular

brand if you are GFCF.

VERY high silver concentrations in these protein products which puts you at risk

of developing argyria (gray skin). I'd find another antimicrobial; preferably

not a precious metal.

Making it yourself eliminates these problems, assuming you use high quality

distilled water (use a device to test ppm in the water before and after making).

besides, very cheap when you make it yourself. the stuff in stores is so

expensive that you could not possibly buy enough to take effective doses. In my

experience silver does not get through biofilms, but is an extremely beneficial

supplement.
