Guest guest
How did it go, ? We're all waiting to hear your story and the details while they're fresh in your mind. Please let us know about how they managed your pain, because IMO that's the hardest part to deal with after tummy tuck (if that's what you had) surgery. > > I just had surgery but Dr. Luque did my surgery and I did not stay at the hospital the full 7 days I was there. Guest guest
Hi there! Welcome to Bee's group! Could you give us a name so we know what to call you? Most of us go by first names here, but a nickname is fine. It just helps us to keep everyone straight. All of your symptoms and your diet tell me that you most certainly do have candida, so you are in the right place to get well. You will, of course, have to change your diet, but I can see that you are motivated to change. I know Bee's diet seems restrictive at first, but as you get the hang of it, you'll get creative with the items we *can* have and it won't seem so restrictive anymore. This is even a recipes board for candida sufferers that you can join and there are all kinds creative cooks over there: Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/ There is a ton of conflicting information out there, so I suggest that you don't bother reading it right now because you will only become more confused. We know that Bee's diet works as many of her Success Stories show, so why not just stick to reading her information. The thing you need to keep in mind is that Candida cannot be cured by “killing it off.†It just doesn’t work that way. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1. Consuming “proper nutrients†(diet plus supplements), 2. Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3. Eliminating damaging foods, and 4. Eliminating toxins in general. When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically “make†candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the microbe it was before. This is why Bee's diet is so successful ~ we eliminate the nasties and only consume the good stuff! Right now, I suggest you read two important articles so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: 1. How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php 2. Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration check out the Success Stories I was telling you about. They have been written by members of this group, including me: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php I also found that they kept me motivated in the beginning when I found it really tough. All the best, (a group moderator) > > hello, i'm just now learning about this candida issue! i'm pretty sure i must have an overgrowth. i've had unexplained hair loss..folliculitous..asthma..infertility.. constantly feel forgetful. i've had doctors tell me my hair loss must be heriditary.. i had a scalp biopsy because they though i might have lupus. blood tests confirmed my blood and thiroid are fine. but they never looked into or mentioned at all about candida! my typical diet: coffee (lots of cream and sugar) and a cereal bar/bagel/or toast. .. snack a few hours later more coffee..and perhaps peanuts or a fig newton. lunch..turkey sandwhich...lettuce/tomato/cheese/mayo..or sometimes a hotpocket..or fast food..usually chicken sandwhich. and sometimes i'd be so full from lunch that i would have a bowl of cereal or just a light snack. i do eat meat a few times a week but not everyday. the same with veggies. but i do eat a lot of fruit! i stick to low fat foods ALWAYS and ive noticed that a lot of what i eat has sugar. > And so now i'm thinking maybe my diet isn't so healthy afterall! so for the past few days i'm trying this candida diet. i figure it can't hurt. > i'm really confused about the conflicting info though. i've been eating lots of plain yogart lately..because some websites say its great for fighting candida. but now i'm reading no dairy at all. no even yogart! > this diet is going to be SO hard the list of what not to eat is pretty much ALL i eat > any advice? >

I'm sure this diet will turn your health around. It sounds like you will have a lot of changes to make so you might want to implement them slowly. Here are some articles Bee has created that help you learn about the diet, and there are some suggestions for transitioning to it. Please ensure you read two important articles so you understand candida, and know what you need to do and why: How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The only way to cure candida: Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off. You should try to get your supplements together and start taking them as soon as possible. The guide to supplements is in the material above. Then you can start to phase out categories of unhealthy food.... for example you could start to eat less grains/breads and add in more meats and slowly up your fats. Then you could try to phase out the coffee by mixing it with swiss-water-processed decaf-- increasing the ratio of decaf to regular every day. Then you can work on phasing out the fruit. Any way, I'm sure you get the idea: start to add in the allowed foods while you phase out the toxic foods. I love Bee's egg drink for breakfast, that might be something you can start with for breakfast. It truly is delicious. It has a warm, spicey creaminess that I find really soothing in the morning. The recipe is on her site, and you'll want to take note of her advice to go slow on the eggs and fat amounts since they are anti-fungal and will cause die-off. Remember, it's not a race and you will experience die-off so you need to go as slow as you need to make sure you can still function. Welcome!! Guest guest
Thanks so much for your advice I started reading about this about 5 days ago and went on the diet right away. in fact i've only had one cup of coffee and very little sugar since then. ive eaten two eggs each day. more veggies and meat. no breads at all. i've been eating plain yogart too because i've read on other sites the benefits. but i read on bee's site not too so i didn't have any today. I know it says to go slow but since i read it and it makes SO much sense i don't WANT sugar and processed foods! And yes, i find myself feeling slightly sick to my stomach. having bad headaches and i'm soooo tired! So, in the beginning stages should i should be eating sugar and bread along with the eggs/veggies/meats?? i don't know how many days i should have gone before cutting it out 100%..and how many days till i start the next stages? where do i find refined coconut oil? and is three-lax recommended? sorry so many questions i just find this such picky diet! i appreciate any advice! > > Hi : > > ***You posted: > > > hello, i'm just now learning about this candida issue! i'm pretty sure i must have an overgrowth. i've had unexplained hair loss.. folliculitous..asthma..infertility.. constantly feel forgetful. i've had doctors tell me my hair loss must be heriditary.. i had a scalp biopsy because they though i might have lupus. > > *** All your symptoms sound like Candida. > > >my typical diet: coffee (lots of cream and sugar) and a cereal bar/bagel/or toast. .. snack >a few hours later more coffee..and perhaps peanuts or a fig newton. lunch..turkey >sandwhich...lettuce/tomato/cheese/mayo..or sometimes a hotpocket..or fast >food..usually chicken sandwhich. and sometimes i'd be so full from lunch that i would >have a bowl of cereal or just a light snack. i do eat meat a few times a week but not >everyday. the same with veggies. but i do eat a lot of fruit! i stick to low fat foods >ALWAYS and ive noticed that a lot of what i eat has sugar. > > ***Plus your description of your diet is extremely high in sugar and processed chemicals, and very low in good fats and meats which are the building blocks of a healthy immune system. Guest guest
I'm no doctor, nor do I play one on the Web. However, I am a medical transcriptionist, and have worked in the medical field for over 20 years. That said, I can help translate your CT report a little. Two of your ear bones are severely affected by the " soft tissue " growth in your middle ear past the eardrum and into your mastoid (the bony area past the middle ear, which is fairly hollow). The last one closest to the middle ear is apparently OK. Your eardrum is thickened (which often happens when it perforates, or gets holes in it when it ruptures). Cholesteatoma growth can act as a sound conductor through the middle ear, even if the bones are destroyed or compromised. Your hearing may be fine, but after the growth is removed it may not stay that way. Also, CT scans are notoriously inadequate at showing involvement of cholesteatoma. My preop CT scans on my left ear didn't show a whole lot of damage, but at surgery was found to be pretty extensive. My right ear showed more involvement than found at surgery. No damage was found on my middle ear bones (incus, malleus, stapes), though the CT scan showed damage. Don't waste any time having surgery, no matter where you decide to have it done.Diane McNelly (formerly Brunet)
Guest guest
My husband has had many CT scans and they don't always show everhting. The last surgery was 2 weeks ago and a fistula was found during surgery; this didn't show up on the scan. Make sure you have surgery as soon as possible so you will not get any other damage in your ear. Guest guest
The only way to get him out of the hospital is for the patient, your brother, to refuse any further medical treatment. The hospital will give him a hard time so he will have to stand by his guns on this. They will also require him to sign multiple forms saying he refuses recommended treatment. They do this to protect themselves from law suit in the event your brother's condition gets worse or he dies. Only in the event your brother is too sick to refuse treatment will his designated health care proxy have a say in it. If there is no designated health care proxy on file then your brother, upon admission to the hospital, has already signed a consent to accept any treatment the hospital deems necessary. Without such a consent they would not have treated him at all. need advice brother does not have hiv but does haave MS hes in hospital now fighting for his life as they are dosing him with every antibiotic ever created and hes built up immunity against all of them!! i am afaid he will die there if left much longer! i want to bring him home and build up his immune system so asking for help from you all!! what are natural antibiotics and things that can boost immmune system kill virus and bacteria?? thanks!!! nancy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Use turmeric / amla / aswagandha. they work as immunity enhancers, anti-oxidants, anti-toxicants and further more they rejuvenate the whole system NATURALLY. All the best. Guest guest
I use natural/complementary medicine wherever possible. You're right to turn to alternatives when the Western doctors are saying they have nothing left to try. Don't give up. NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) is a nutritional supplement that is proving to have powerful therapeutic effects. It breaks chemical bonds in mucus thus clearing it, and it is useful for tracheotomy care as well as for chronic severe lung mucus such as cystic fibrosis and ALS. It is also a specific for pneumonia. It comes in inhalable forms that can be prescribed, as well as capsules for oral use. Here is a link with natural treatments for pneumonia, which includes NAC: http://www.life123.com/health/natural-remedies/cold-remedies/breathe-easy-fight-\ pneumonia-naturally.shtml What would be best is for you to find a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) to help you, because you need a comprehensive program. Here is a locator to help you find one: http://www.naturopathic.org/AF_MemberDirectory.asp?version=2 Here is a locator that includes Canada: http://www.dietarycounseling.com/ If I knew where you were I would try to find someone. you have my best wishes and if I can be of any further assistance let me know. -- At 06:59 PM 7/16/2010, you wrote: >brother is in hospital >has a trachea and feeding tube, his 02 ws low so thoought maybe he haada >plug. hee did and now hes hot pnemonia and infection and virus's not >responding to antibiotics >doctor is giving probiotics and they are giving his ldn around 2 am. need >to know is taking the ln with these drugs okay?? >does anyone use natural antibiotics here? they say they have tried >everything and today is the last drug they can try, >he acts fine, feels fine he says >okay he has got alot of mucus >his heart rate is good his 02 stats are good now his white blood count is >back to normaal. hes got infection in urine, feeding tube area and trachea. >they are saying we should not resuccitate as the meds are causing alot of >problems if he stops breathing but his breathing and heart is fine!!hes >not even being monitored for these so really afraid that he might choke >to death on his mucus but not thinking anything else so really want to >just get him home. >i am not sure i understand what problems? >hes got diarrea, he says hes not in pain and hurts nowhere he sayshes >comfortable knows what he wants to wach on tv >he knows if hes getting good treatment or bad. hes alert and says as best >he can that he feels fine!! >I want to bring him home and do natural antibiotics and lots of natural >probiotics >i really think the ldn is good for him and though hes not on any vitamins >and minerals i think we can build up his immunity >wanting advice please and some encouraging words would help also. >even his blood pressure is fine! >thanks for letting me sound of a bit >nancy caregiver to brother w/ms > > > >------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
There are many wonderful natural products that he can take such as colloidal silver, humic or fulvic acid, neem, olive leaf, venus fly trap. astragulus, grapeseed extract. The list goes on and on. My brother was in the hospital with MRSA and he was allergic to the top antibiotic, so I had him spray some colloidal silver in his mouth, sprayed it on his wound, he drank grapeseed extract in juice, and I had aromatherapy going on in his room with lemon oil. No one was the wiser, but he recovered nicely. There are so many herbs on the planet to treat whatever ails one. Go on line and do some research and you will be shocked at what all is available to us. Also, check the local health store, as usually someone there has a wealth of info to help you. Guest guest
, LDN is okay with the meds you list. Eliminate sugar, dairy and gluten from his diet. Doctor's Strength Allimed is a natural antibiotic, has had lots of research behind it. http://www.amazon.com/Physician-Stabilized-Antibiotic-Resistant-Infections/dp/B0\ 02O0759I , LDN user 7 yrs. ====================== > > brother is in hospital > has a trachea and feeding tube, his 02 ws low so thoought maybe he haada plug. hee did and now hes hot pnemonia and infection and virus's not responding to antibiotics > doctor is giving probiotics and they are giving his ldn around 2 am. need to know is taking the ln with these drugs okay?? > does anyone use natural antibiotics here? they say they have tried everything and today is the last drug they can try, > he acts fine, feels fine he says > okay he has got alot of mucus > his heart rate is good his 02 stats are good now his white blood count is back to normaal. hes got infection in urine, feeding tube area and trachea. > they are saying we should not resuccitate as the meds are causing alot of problems if he stops breathing but his breathing and heart is fine!!hes not even being monitored for these so really afraid that he might choke to death on his mucus but not thinking anything else so really want to just get him home. > i am not sure i understand what problems? > hes got diarrea, he says hes not in pain and hurts nowhere he sayshes comfortable knows what he wants to wach on tv > he knows if hes getting good treatment or bad. hes alert and says as best he can that he feels fine!! > I want to bring him home and do natural antibiotics and lots of natural probiotics > i really think the ldn is good for him and though hes not on any vitamins and minerals i think we can build up his immunity > wanting advice please and some encouraging words would help also. > even his blood pressure is fine! > thanks for letting me sound of a bit > nancy caregiver to brother w/ms >
